methanol in my go kart makes frost on the intake when we first start it up. My gas kart runs about 415*F and the methanol about 175*F

not cooler if you get the fuel on your hand it will feel cold its methanol

@woodyate they don't really run any cooler than a gasoline powered engine, basically because these engines run VERY high compression ratios. On the order of 15 to 17:1 compression. That makes lots of heat. In fact, you need that kind of squeeze to really get good HP from methanol. In and of itself, methanol burns cool and slow. You can barely get it to light up if you put a match to a puddle of the stuff !! LOL
