The Pacers played the Lakers for the NBA championship in 2000. Larry Bird was the Pacers coach and he screwed us, the Pacers, by playing his buddy Chris Mullin over Jalen Rose. Mullin was a good player in his day with Golden State, but he was an old, washed up player with the Pacers. All Mullin did was get beat defensively and brick three pointers. Jalen was in his prime and could have helped slow down Kobe. Shame on you Bird!!!
Anyone remember bird stealing the ball from the pistons? "Now theirs a Steal by Bird, underneath to DJ he Lays it in....Oh what a play by bird." How can that be the #4 greatest playoff moment of all time, but yet not in this....
believe it or not, i went to school with the great larry bird in the big city of french lick indiana. he lived for the game of basketball. his older brother and his younger brother both were real good also.
I miss Larry Bird playing. These knuckleheads today couldn't hold his jock-strap. The NBA died when Magic and Larry retired. I blame rap music and Allen Iverson for the demise of the tatoed infested retards playing it today.
the tattoos don't make the player. another factor is also the style that MJ brought. everyone's trying to copy MJ's flash and has no substance anymore. you're right, basketball isn't pure anymore.
nah he hasn't coached for some time dristfan, i think he's the general manager of the pacers now..i think he only coached 2 or 3 years early last decade and won a coach of the year award
he is the best baller in the world
