  • Beautiful roll a 2:00

  • I get the impression that the "Hertical' stabiliser would offer a bit of drag when pulling the stick back for some quick elevation, maybe thats why we dont see so many built like that.

  • The livery makes it look like its smiling. Cute airplane!

  • i prefer the honda-jet

  • there is not much purpose to this plane, it won't really do anything a normal lear jet will, it is sporty, but you won't go doing areobatics in it

  • @assman12354 - COST.... you can't buy a lear jet anywhere close to the price of this. That is the market these "VLJ's" Very Light Jet's are going for. People that want to own their own jet, but don't want to or can't spend multiple millions for a "jet" airplane...

  • @Garken100 less than 200,000 can buy you a used lear jet in good condition, there was a 737 i think going for $200,000 with silencers

  • @assman12354 lol, no.

  • but will it blend?

  • Two points toranmunter

    1. An ancient piston twin would not cost 1.35 million. You have to compare like with like.

    2. I don’t think I know a twin costing 1.35 million will be much safer (just ask any Insurance company.

  • Do they do them in pink?

  • ICON A5 the BEST .....

  • million bucks on this little piece of shit??

  • 750K gets you a used Avanti, which is much cooler looking!!

  • IT'S CUTE AND LOOKS LIKE A TOY! I want want!!

  • One engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no chance of Certification in Europe

What are these people thinking? Stick with the 500

  • @mocatx there are plenty of single engine aircraft in europe .... do you really think an ancient piston twin is safer? (you'd be wrong if you do ...)

  • 100% COOL!

  • The reason its so pricey is because its a small jet that you can fly around like a personal fighter plane. You can't do that in a gulfstream or learjet.

  • or buy an actual private jet for 1.35 million???

  • @MichiganFann the cheapes private jet start @ 3mil

  • @wtfsincerlyjapan ive seen some cheap ones

  • @MichiganFann and the ones you thinkng about cost 10s of millions

  • Needs to be under $1M ... especially with a single engine.

  • @axual yeah...i cant believe the price of that thing

  • wow! that's really beautiful

  • What a sweet looking bird. Gorgeous.

  • does it have a bathroom??

  • can you fit a 50mm gat on the front of it and call in air strikes? if so please give us a call at 1.800.usairforce we are interested in purchasing 20,000 of these units.

  • one engine.. and if it fails.. gg

  • Derry365-- your guide is not on android.

  • Very nice clean design!! V-tail with single turbine is clever.

  • Cool video.

  • i dont think i would feel comfortable flying in a jet that i only paid $2 million for. i'm just saying.

  • Can it fly up to outer orbit?

  • Тоо expansive fore most people .

  • yes but, will it blend?

  • Look up the Cirus Vision.

  • That's fucking awesome. Thing is, if I was a Billionaire, I'd buy a Viperjet instead. I'd want to feel like I'm in an F16 rather than a Cessna.

  • Comment removed

  • Rick Schrameck said this thing looks like Ugly Betty, and I agree!

  • AWESOME.

  • Whats the inside look like?

  • leave it to Honda... i still have the coolest lawnmower in the neighborhood.

  • She is a beauty! I couldn't stop wanking!!!

  • D jet baby

  • I was looking for something with more speed and something capable of pulling 5g's

  • @jayjaykewl727 ,,, join the air force lol

  • Oh I see it's approved for aerobatics as well....

  • (1:51) max Range 1.250nm? Enlighten me!

  • @1aMattes

1 nm (natical mile) is the distance you travel if you sail with the speed of 1 knot for an hour.

1 international nm is 1852 meters, or approximately 6,076 feet.

A max range of 1250 nm is 2315 km and would take you from Los Angeles to Atlanta non-stop and still have some fuel left.

  • @HawoxX Thx!

  • Absolutely love everything about this airplane that I can see, but I don't know about the performance of a v-tail. Does anybody know if there are aerodynamic disadvantages? If so, are they easily overcome? Maybe I should also be asking the question about aerodynamic advantages - other than the fact you have two surfaces vs. three back there, so perhaps there is less drag, less weight assoc. with this design? Any engineers out there who can answer? (By the way Eclipse Aviation is defunct.)

  • what is the top seed on this on this beauty?

  • looks like the Cirrus Vision

  • Um... Sorry guys, this plane was canceled when the company went bankrupt years ago.

  • It's nice... it's an aerobatic jet, that's really nice! But does it have a parachute? Not talking about individual parachutes... I'm talking about the plane ITSELF. If not... I'll stick with the Vision SF50.

  • yeah!

  • 1.35, well considering a number of cars I know are more than that, safe to assume it's granted they'll have customers :)

  • considering what you can pay for a jet aircraft this is not that expensive. Hmmm, a Bugati Veyron costs more ( I think)

  • This thing is ganna be mistaken for a drone and shot down...

  • @lkdjsnvlmksd good point there !

  • @lkdjsnvlmksd And you're an idiot. You should get shot down.

  • @lkdjsnvlmksd well if you can afford $1.35m to buy this, then you sure can spend little more to equip it with radar, counter measures, and few anti missile laser beams

  • @lkdjsnvlmksd Good point.. its like the Lockheed Predator drone (global hawk)

  • @lkdjsnvlmksd yeah indeed looks like one :D

  • What happened if that singel engine going down ..what the safety features?

  • could be sold for $130k and still make a profit. wayy wayy to much money for such little plane.

  • @circusboy90210Dude... do you have any idea how expensive jet engines are? Even a mediocre working engine is atleast 50 thousand. If you want to have one that is both efficient, light, and safe, its gunna be atleast 80 thousand. Not to mention the body and all is gunna probably add up to 400 grand easily. The reason there so expensive is because to get a grant to sell them and to fly them at airports is insanely spendy, but i do agree that they do make a ton of profit.

  • @mcsnowman11 yes I do understand cost of the engine alone and most of the other materials. the cost can be brought down alot for engine cost. the body can be made one piece and extremely light and inexpensive all at the same time. some of the cost is also because of tort laws. do a materials breakdown and you can understand that this plane is not worth all of that. design is probably most of that. mass production will bring that cost down as well.

  • @circusboy90210 For a jet? You need to do some research.

  • @wadopotato33 been doing the research for over 20 years. even calling some developers on the phone to find out for sure what real cost's are.

  • @circusboy90210 You can't build a jet for 130, 000. That's more like the cost of the engine. If the margins were so large in the aviation industry then you wouldn't have so many manufacturers going out of business. Most spend so much money and don't even make it through the FAA approval process, let alone a successful production aircraft. Study some more.

  • @wadopotato33 not every engine has to be certified , just the type of engine. once the type is certifed the cost is not so high. I'm familiar with certification cost, jim bede told me all about it over the phone. however experimentals are exempt from this process.

  • @wadopotato33 I thought they posted up MSRP $1,350,000.00 in the title. Anyways ROFL deicer boots. No actually its a good idea to run deicer boots with that small of an engine.

  • Dear Santa.....

  • Lower the price 35million and I will buy one

  • What a beautiful aircraft!!

  • would u give so much money and rely just on a single engine?

  • @31Solvap

Yes why not there are a lot very reliable one engine aircraft.

    for example f16 fighter jet

  • THanks. Airjet is freedom.

  • Hell gimme a old Falcon 10 with -13s on it

  • This is not an Eclipse.

  • Diamond aircraft makes a single engine jet for 1.2 million If I won powerball or megamill I'd still buy an old Lear or Westwind 1124

  • so the id numbers on the engine is because that's all that will be left if there is a crash right?

  • TAKE MY MONEY

    TAKE IT

  • 1.35M$ ? Just a bit over-priced I'm afraid - esp if it only carry's 4.

    Nice looking though.

Bring the price down to about 500k-750k$ & you won't be able to keep production up with the demand).

  • @MelioraCogito -

It wouldn't be possible to build a jet, even a small single engine one like this, for 500k-750k, You'd be looking at probably 1.5-2 million. That's just the reality of building jet aircraft.

The Piper Malibu Mirage is the cheapest single turboprop you can but and it costs about 2 million.

  • que caripela hee !!

  • Like it. Now make a seaplane (flying boat).

  • Very sexy & beautiful aircraft !

  • I'll wait till it's more affordable, like 35 grand. I'll be 150 y.o. by then.

  • I always liked the 500 model, but personally i'd go for the Citation Mustang

  • A new company called Eclipse Aerospace bought the assets and are now taking orders for the Eclipse 550. Google eclipseaerospace

  • I had heard it went bust?? lack of orders but a nice looking jet

  • This thing wouldn't of made success anyways. Who would pay 1.5 million dollars for a tiny, slow, unattractive plane like that? It's just common sense, buy a faster low houred citation off of controller(dot)com instead. Or even find other deals that are three times as good.

  • its better to buy this rather buying expensive cars like Veyron Reventon and Zondas

  • Bankrupt!

  • Too bad ONLY this prototype was ever made. company went bankrupt before this went into production.

  • that looks like voltron's head piece.

  • fjordking- the saying is "Fork-tailed doctor killer"

  • Think of the bootay you could pull with this baby!

  • hummmmmmmmm another split tail doctor killer????

  • @MrLukem14

You know whats even funnier your fuel bill on a B737-200. :) not to mention engine parts availability and maintenance costs, plus warranty, etc... These reasons are why airlines have gotten rid of them.

  • you know whats funny you can buy a boeing 737 200 for $395,000

  • That looks smart. But i wanted to see a landing or take off

  • It's a cockpit with wings.. where's the rest?!

  • So when does VTEC kick in?

  • @RoboTekno

VTEC?! on a jet engine?! (warpspeed achieved)

  • @RoboTekno This isnt the Honda jet.....

  • @vpsshore never said it was...

  • @RoboTekno Yo.

  • you could get a few working l-39's for that price, or even somthing bigger and faster.

  • THE FUSELAGE IS ONE BIG AEROPLANE WING, I'm sure this helps economy and it goes a long way too! Check out the PRORAY on utube (an alternative, and a competitor of the bizz-jet!

  • any presidential candidate that puts one of these in my driveway has my vote.

  • Very difficult to launch airplane designs in a declining economy. Too bad for eclipse aviation. This plane is incredible and surely a winner in more stable economic conditions. I hope Eclipse Aerospace can work it out and bring this plane to production.

  • Comment removed

  • Two engines for sure........ u have to b keen flying this machine one one.. glide ratio not that good.

  • I want one

  • kinda looks like those unmanned drones of the usaf

  • After the way Eclipse was mismanaged (classic corporate corruption) I wouldn't buy one rivet from them. They can't be trusted and they showed it to the whole world.

  • 1:12 did you catch that big smile?

  • So the company is bankrupt? that is it?

  • @flagkakis - The original company Eclipse Aviation did go bankrupt. It has basically reformed into the current Eclipse Aerospace, which sells the Total Eclipse Jet, which is basically a refurbished Eclipse 500 with many added features. The Eclipse 400 idea is scrapped I believe, but the company stated that they plan to restart the Eclipse 500 production. They were at EAA AirVenture this year, and sold a few of the Total Eclipse jet as well there. Link: eclipseaerospace. net

  • me like...whats its tag price?

  • No wonder they went broke. WAY too expensive for such a small aircraft. Delusions of grandeur and huge profits. Greed will do that for ya!

  • @sailrjim Typical closed minded Liberal response. Get lost.

  • Dear Santa .....

  • that is all we need is a lottery winner thinking he can fly this after a few classes!

  • I'm surprised Cirrus hasn't gotten their panties in a bunch about this, since their VLJ basically looks the same lol

  • @Greendayfan0921 waswondering that myself. course these people went bankrupt so i guess it doesnt matter. bout the only thing different was the intake for the engine. ( this one vs the cirrus )

  • Although tehe project went bust you still have to hand i to company who created this plane, that is the most beautiful personal jet ever created.

  • Cheap but to slow Cruise speed ONLY: 240 knots (276 mph, 444 km/h)

MAX SPEED ONLY Maximum speed: 315 knots (362 mph, 583 km/h)

EVEN JAPENESE ZERO WW2 MORE FASTER CAN SHOOT DOWN THIS PLANE.

    Mitsubishi A6M Zero WW2

    # Never exceed speed: 660 km/h (356 kn, 410 mph)

    # Maximum speed: 533 km/h (287 kn, 331 mph) at 4,550 m (14,930 ft)

  • @MafiaGENGTEAM1970 sorry but max cruise is actually 330 knots, this is a new design, personal small jet with high ceiling of 41000ft, good safety, quiet, and very cheap on fuel for a jet... kinda strange to compare to a WW2 piston fighter...

  • @MafiaGENGTEAM1970 Dude...it's a personal jet....not a jet fighter. Some musclecars from the 60's had over 400 hp....does that mean a modern day passenger car should have the same amount of HP? No.

  • Eject Sit UP SIT YOU WILL SUCK TO JET ENGINE.

  • @MafiaGENGTEAM1970 Why would you eject with the engine running?

  • @MafiaGENGTEAM1970 depends on how hard or far the seat would take you.

  • Smart design idea - the intake is hidden by the cockpit, so no birdstrikes, dust, hail or other nasty turbine-killing material when flying at speed. A turbine only has a single moving part, so they're as reliable as a combustion engine gets. Too bad most engineers & designers aren't good accountants, though.

  • If you want a VLJ or any type of Aircraft, stick with the Big names in the industry! Such as Cessna and Bell.

  • the jet looks a bit shaky doesnt it??

  • Just throw one tin coca - cola and look what happen to it engine

  • Is This By Cirrus?

  • @vlogsforblogs - no this is not a Cirrus.

  • this plane like a Heinkel He 162

  • He did a barrel roll!

  • I wonder if I'll have enough money when I'm older to get something like this. That would be so cool.

  • is this a cool plane or what ??

  • Pshh I'd rather splurge the extra cash for a 2.1 million dollar Northrop F-5.... fuckkk yeahhh..

  • I'd rather get one that looks like a fighter jet

  • I've got the V tailed hat they were giving away at Oskosh when this was unveiled. This was a big ego trip for the CEO based on the money problems they were going through to produce the 2 engined jet they had deposits on. Those lost deposits paid for this one off toy. J R

  • 1,35 MILLION ? ARE YOU INSANE ? WHY BROTHER ?

  • the guy that did the roll in that is daring >.>

  • @madzane94 BALLS OF STEEL NEEDED

  • @killergeek123 , Not really, a roll if done correctly is completely safe its not even really aerobatics. Because the aircraft is in +G the whole time, even a 747 could be rolled infact I think it has been. Doing a look, especially an Outside loop (the Pilot is on the outside) is when you start to get -G and the airframe needs to be specially strenghened, hence the difference between an aerobatic rated craft and one that is not.

  • OWNING A PLANE IS NOT CHEAP

  • @devrajvarma , I'll second that and a Helicopter is worse!

  • @1BustedMyth

    LOL,why ? whether you eat or not:owning a plane is not a cheap thing,i know well cuz i m a commercial jet pilot.hehe

  • @devrajthebest , Me and my friend find its best not to eat and fly Choppers, mainly because we can't afford both!! LMAO!

Well you know what they say, best flying is real high or real low, sounds like you have the high part covered! ;-)

  • @devrajthebest

    Heie, ur funny ;-)

  • The roll was nice

  • very cool..... i got to have one! OY!!!

  • Is that a 2 crew 2 passenger?!?! Cause I've got a citation mustang but is only me my wife and son( I'm the pilot) and I'm looking to downsize.

  • @victus401 I'll trade you my 2009 corolla for it

  • well looks unstable...

  • Bernie Madoff was a criminal. These guys actually engineered and manufactured a revolutionary jet airplane. It is aircraft like this that will give general aviation any fighting chance of surviving in the future. Hopefully someday, an investor will step up to the plate and begin manufacturing this plane again.

  • where can i buy one,i tried ebay but couldnt find one help plz

  • @HODOUTHINKUAR are you for real?

  • @sagabhcrew what you think?

  • @HODOUTHINKUAR RC one))))that would be cool! i thought you were to buy a real one!

  • @sagabhcrew i wana go for su37,got one let me know
