Failing to understand why this makes Top Gear so much better. The Top Gear team have buggered up plenty of cars and not just the ones they meant to.

Top Gear does happen to be better than Fifth Gear but then it is also a different type of format. Top Gear is geared more toward comedy than serious motoring journalism that Fifth Gear adopts. Besides, the accident proves that they let John Barrowman drive to his limits rather than relying on clever camera angles to give a false impression.
