Same way ANYONE becomes a celebrity. A group of people behind them find a way to profit off their image for the distraction of the masses, and they use the same media to promote them. There's a reason it's called show BUSINESS, after all. Other people profit from Paris Hilton; even her parent's over-priced hotel chain gains further name recognition amongst a younger audience. It's all business.

Here's a subject for you Jackie. Why did we allow Middle Eastern countries to nationalize our oil rigs about 40-50 years ago. American & European oil companies contracted with those countries to dig for oil then like thieves they steal it from us and we allowed it to happen. We have many foreign companies doing business in the US did we ever nationalize any of them? Research this and discuss because that is the root of our huge problem today.

Jackie, the injured governor was not driving, a state trooper was. I am sure that the governor is paying a price that is better to learn a lesson from than a speeding ticket. He almost died. I too believe that Islam is a religion of violence not peace. Their founder and his book are evil and violent. But I also disagree with Jackie about homosexuality being just another form of normal way of having sex. It is a perversion and I am surprised at Jackie for supporting it.
