  • I'm slowly overcoming this. It's really changed how i see things, I know i can't cure it but I can learn to deal with it.

  • @poisdelicat hey, yes u can :) i takes some time but it will get better after a while :) i have panicattacs and agoraphobia for 3 years, but its getting better when u learn more about it and know that its not only u who has it :) good luck

  • .... i never had a panic attack and i have social aniexty i guess am lucky i can still go outside all you need is a reason to go out like dirt bike riding thats my hobby

  • I have been suffering from panic disorder for years now, with occasional periods of feeling well. No medication has really helped me get rid of that. I am afraid this condition never vanishes completely.

  • @persifedron1 hey. i have tried cipralex and other types of medication. but the only one that worked for me is called paroxetin hexal / seroxat. and yes it will get better, just dont give up :)

  • someone please help me with this I dont know what to do. I'm 12 years old. I've been having episodes where I have an overwhelming sense of terror and I hypervenalate, and my hands get pins and needles. I can kind of sense if im going to have one in a couple minutes or so so I could go outside or in my room and have a panic attack without anyone worrying about me. I've had 6 others since then and its getting worse. I don't know if this is panic disorder or what.

  • @konataizumiify hey man :) well the symptoms are the same as with anxiety. im not sure if u have talked with your parents about this. but u should. if u have any questions just message me

  • I've had panic disorder with a lot of ups and downs since I was 13. I'm now 21. Just wanted to let anyone who's reading this know that YES it is hard, but this shit changes you for the better. Take panic disorder as a challenge. Make goals, do progressively more tough things, even things a "normal" person would fear and avoid. It's tough and may seem impossible to do but somehow time always passes...at the same rate it was before. Life isn't easy.

  • i wish i could have someone close, who could understand my panic and anxiety disorders, they happen at the university, at the bus, when i walk on the street, public places, i can say i try to avoid people and social meetings :(

  • @BelluBlossom i understand you. that happens to me ant he bus as well. i feel Suffocated when i'm around a big crowd. all i want to do is just get out right away. i think to my self " please make all those loud people shut up" i can't stand it. it;s terrible to feel that way.

  • I have panic disorder, and lemme tell you, some days I live in a world of fear, a world of fear. -_-

  • I suffer from this disorder, along with PTSD, ADHD, Social Anxiety disorder, and Bipolar disorder. There is hope, go to a counselor and psychiatrist.

  • thank you for posting this. I have panic disorder myself....so this vid will help some people and make them feel not alone

  • Having an agorophobic parent is the kiss of death. They essentually raise you to be frightened of everything. My mother was an agorophobic....she warned us about everything, all day.....we never went anywhere, never socialized, we were taught to fear everything. Thus my brother, sister and myself all have agorophobia. My mother destroyed my life

  • Going to the emergency room is very common for anxiety sufferers - panic and anxiety disorder can be extremely powerful. What people don't understand is that it isn't in our heads - it literally is a physical thing.... the brain kicks in the fight or flight reaction... and it gets out of control.

  • I suffer from Social Anxiety Disorder. I suffered from 2 panic attacks both oddly in the shower. I felt lightheaded, Dizzy, Nausea, Temporary blindness & Temporary Deafness.

  • @HBKanedge818 - if you have not already, please see a physician. regards...

  • @rosaryfilms Thanks. My doctor gave me effexor 3 years ago & still taking it & it's lifted my anxiety but still uneasy to engage in conversations with people who I don't know, especially with girls. During both panic attacks I was fully consious, walked out of the shower & struggled to put my clothes on & my sight & hearing came back in 2 minutes, so I assume they weren't that severe.

  • @HBKanedge818 my guess is that being confined in the small area of a shower may be a trigger for your attacks

  • @inkey2

That's not the case. I think it also had to do with the steam engulfing that tiny room. I love enclosed spaces, it makes me feel safe & comfy.

  • @HBKanedge818 omg i get panic attacks in showers all the time its so weird.

  • Try this one it worked for me i no more get those attacks bit[dot]ly/PanicAnzietyAway

  • Thanks a bunch for this video. Really helped me for my exam!

  • @UncleBobIsAngry - you are very welcome!

  • Read all the books from the late Australian Doctor CLAIRE WEEKES!They have saved my life!

  • Fluoxetine works well for the younger ones like me, It's apparently not strong, but I'm only taking 20 MG and it works great.

  • I will call that number...here goes nothing... I have been fighting this for over a year ...I have become agoraphobic in a way ...I want my life back

  • Good luck

  • @71tinker you dont need to be afraid of anything man, hope you are well now x

  • @71tinker I really hope you sought treatment. I suffered my first panic attack at 17.........in the late 1960s. No one in my area had a clue what this disorder was. Suffered 23 long hellish years without medication and therapy. I survived and became sane again after eying an article in Parade Magazine about panic disorders. I cried so hard after reading that article.

Medication and cognitive behavior therapy is what healed me. I still have some phobias but know I can survive them.

  • @lenegal77 Hi Lenegal. I'm currently in that hellish place you mentioned. I've had panic attacks since 15. I'm now 21 and have been fully housebound for years. I was wondering if you could share your experience with me? Also what medications helped you? I need some relief. I'm so tired of fighting this!

  • @TaintedBeautifully If you can, go to a psychiatrist who prescribes medication. Once you are on medication, usually antidepressants are described; they work against panic attacks. Also zanax works, but it is a benzodiazephine and is addictive.

Once you have been on the medication for a while, you can face your phobias by putting yourself in the situation you fear little by little until the phobia is gone. Phobias are created when one has a panic attack in a certain place/situation. Luck.

  • @lenegal77 What SSRI's are the best with the least side effects?

  • @TaintedBeautifully If you see a psychiatrist, the professional will try to work with you regarding which SSRI has the least side effects.

Lexapro is an SSRI that has few side effects, but I am sure that there are newer drugs I know nothing about.

Please see a doctor. When you are able to stop being agoraphobic, you can then work with desensitizing your fears. A doctor will help you, honestly. You need help to stop the anguish you feel.

  • i love Vilift, it really takes away my depression and my panic attacks. it's really effective.

  • I did purchase Vilift took it for two days and did not feel any different ...I have been on many medications from the doctor I thought this would work can you tell me if maybe I did not give it time to work ? How long did it take you toill you felt the difference?

  • @swastedcat

     what is Vilift?

  • Vilift is the best pill i've ever tried, it really gave me a calm feeling. it doesn't have any side effects too.

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) does work.

Anxiolytics (benzodiazepines being standard) are often problematic; even simple tasks like driving or cooking can become dangerous due to their muscle-relaxant effects, tolerance/addiction are rapid, and withdrawal makes anxiety even less tolerable. At least CBT is also proven effective at treating and preventing drug abuse.

I only use such medication short-term for insomnia.

  • As for CBT treating drug addiction, NIDA appears to agree, according to their press release, "Combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Incentives Enhance Treatment for Marijuana Addiction".

  • Yes, CBT works very well for most disorders, but not dissociative disorders!!! The evidence base is incredibly clear on this point.

  • Anyone have inner ear problems/dizziness? Here's a suggestion: Get the book "Phobia Free" by Harold N. Levinson. Get it used on amazon or from the library for I have no financial interest in Levinson's work, just an emotional one. The book saved my life. Panic free for 16 years from a simple inner-ear medication called meclizine. Get your inner-ears checked, thoroughly. Write me on youtube, I'll send links to 13 medical studies on pub-med showing link between panic/agor and inner ear problems.

  • yes.. I had this recently and got my ear siringed.. I still have bouts of lightheadedness, I have suffered panic attacks of late

  • Meclizine is the best other then the panic and the anxiety I found the dizziness to be the worst found out I had Menier's syndrome they gave me Meclizine and I used it for awhile then the dizziness went away now I have it as a PRN

  • Notice the references to motion, like driving, amusement park rides. The man who's first attack happened in a wide open space. The host who had his on a bridge. All can be referenced to vestibular (inner ear)issues. When the vestibular system is faulty, the body relies on eyesight to establish reference points. In a wide open space, there are none. No reference and panic is the result. Brain triggers fight or flight response which releases adrenaline, causing the rest of the nasty symptoms.
