  • Bravo, You're an inspiration, Now i want to buy 3 more synths!!!

  • Great job!

  • A Request To The Moog and Analog Synthesizer Community:

I wonder if some synthesizer wizard out there could redo Chase, Utopia Me, From Here To Eternity, and all the 70s Moroder hits this using MOOGs only, and Analog sequencers only. Exactly how Moroder did it back in 1977.

    Thanks! :D

  • perfeito!!!

  • Coast to Coast AM!

  • ..shit..!! almost hole the JUNO family.. do you have a MOOG and a POLY800..???

  • lento violento!!!

  • You are a master of covers! Fantastic!

  • I enjoyed this one a lot and is a little envious of your setup. I started building mine 26 years ago but ten years later it stopped... I share your love for the synthesizer though, many late nights spent programming and playing them....

    Thank you.

  • GREAT SOUND !!! ! GREAT PLAYING !!!!!

  • This reminds me when I did coke and danced all night at the club. LOL

  • FAKE! Main melody starts at 0:44 you then play second 'round' of melody on a different octave on the keyboard but the notes stay at the same pitch. You are a bitch.

  • @TheWolvie450 Wtf are you on about, it does change pitch.

  • @TheWolvie450 FUCK YOU. is it because you cant do it.

  • @TheWolvie450 My friend, I do believe your ears are deceiving you. Perhaps you ought to have them cleaned out

  • @TheWolvie450 : do you have personnal problem with MIK300z ? because instead of that your post is not giving any truth to the thousands MIK300z fans we are. Thanks for not giving us anymore your stupid comments. Nicolas, fan from France.

  • What bassline you playing mik...

  • Too pity the sound quality sucks... Could you repost?

  • Nice equipment, nice music! :D

  • '80s synthesizers' magic! I had a Yamaha QX-1 8-track sequencer and it ran my Kawai K1, my Boss Dr Rhythm DR 550 and my former modules - Akai sampler (S612 can't remember) and a Yamaha MIDI module with preset keyboard sounds.. I'd wish to have 8 vintage synths like your setup ...

  • Cool! I have a Yamaha QX-1 too! Its a big sequencer! I now use the QX-3 it has 16 tracks and takes 3 1/2 disks instead of 5 inch ones, both machines still work.

80s synths and sequencers rule! :)

  • I like you studio set up.

  • brilliant to me...nice job

  • Awsome! Nice job, looks like a fun room. keep them coming.

  • I don't like the filter envelope you set on the lead synth. Tu much cheesy as said jaekn. For the rest it's correct

  • You cheesed it out and fucked it up

  • cool, the first couple of negative comments. All I can say is, the "cheesier" the better!

    love to see your version

  • The theme is supposed to build up. It starts off simple then crescendos into the final scene; Its not supposed to be a cheesy techno discofuck.

I will create a version then.

  • won't sleep tonight in anticipation

  • you are right about the crescendos that work well in the movie. But, the original song is nothing more than a disco.A disco song that is still played in clubs all over the world. Nothing wrong in updating the song....

  • Dont worry. He is just another angry internet troll.

  • The guy is well equiped but, that sucks a little no!

  • GANGSTER

  • Fuck, this verzh like toe-dilly rips, dude! Man, I'd love this downloaded on my iPOD!

  • Nice cave:)

  • Just awesome

  • wow we've got a talent here !!

    keep it up ;)

i'm also very interested in this kind of music... especially from giorgio moroder..

    greets,

    steve

  • Excellent. If you don't do this for a living, you should! Music these days suck, with the exception of a few groups.

    We need a SYNTH revival.

    Thumbs up.

  • :-D

  • Now thats the way it should be done!

  • Given any thought to commercially releasing this? I'd totally buy it.

  • Thanks, yes I should have , If I got paid for giving out mp3's on youtube i'd be getting rich lol! send me your email and i'll give you a download link for the club version

  • Ahhhh! I would like to have an MP3 version too! Great song and I love your synth abilities! I am sooo jealous! :) You should have synth-new wave-techno tracks on iTunes. Why not! I think there is a Electro, New Wave revilval in the music scene such as LadyTron, Plej, Roykssop, Felix Da House Cat...etc...I know you know more than I do :o)

  • big lol at that, crazy!

  • this is what im talking about...

do you see the arsenal of synths this man has? Im a bass player but i grew up in the 80s and 70s and i love love synth music..my dad had an arp 2600 (pain in the butt) wonderfuljob..god knows i hope you have some home insurance against theft and fire!

  • wat u got? i saw a juno 6, a juno 106 and a juno g! HOLY CRAP!

  • Dude must have some electric bill! Great work!

  • hahaha

  • Wé, en même temp il est bien équiper le gar!!

  • whats the mix at the beginng? i dont reconize it

  • That's my own little input into the song, I was just messing around with the Microkorg when I came up with that little melody, the sound just seemed to mix right

  • well done, it blended in perfect

  • can i plz have mp3

  • You must really like Junos

  • Fucking Great!!^^,

  • Cool! Closer to the music from the movie, than the re-recorded version Moroder did on the soundtrack. Nice to hear.

Great that no computers are used. I think anyone with objective ears can tell that real synths simply sound better than computers in almost every instance. This is especially true with older analog synths, and signal processing - especially reverb.

Any chance you can re-post this in stereo?

  • Id kill to be in that room :)

    Well Done!

  • You are sooooooooooo good. Well done. I wish I had a room full of keyboards like you.

  • Yeahhhhh fucking A man, nice work!!!

  • cool man...

  • yes!

do you have an 8 minute version of this? and if so where can we get it? You cant have something on here that sounds amazing and then have no outlet for people to appreciate it on a more personal leval!...I used to have an oberheim 1000, i miss it!

  • Hi and thanks! have a look at my midnight express club version video, it has superior audio, if you like it let me know and i'll send you an mp3

  • yes i want it this music as well :)

  • listen to this music when i work out...for some reason when thepath ways of my brain are flooded from seratonin from music im able to pick up very large objects and do super human things....on a more serious note..this is the best cover ive heard..my dad is a PHD in music and for many years he had 2 arp 2600S, talk about a pain! im 35 and this music is the sound track of my life...ive speed in my car to it many times lol

  • trop bien trop bien..........

  • Great video!! i wanna your version!! How i get your version?

    Thanks!!

  • Hi, if you go to my channel you will see i also have a video entitled "the chase" club version. The audio quality much better, If you like it mail me and i'll give you a link for the mp3 download

  • Great video!!

  • I love this!!

  • nice studio

  • I just loved the sounds of the old Juno stuff. It can't be copied even by todays technology. I use a Juno G for recording, and still don't sound as good as the stuff from mid 70's through the 80's.

  • How do you find the G's song recorder? I never use it, just bogs me down and by the time i've found what I want to do the moment is gone. The 8 track sequencer on the ESQ is simple but effective. doesn't have the wistles and bells like the 16 track sequencer on the G but it's more immediate and user friendly

  • I just use the on board recorder for storing drum tracks. Most everything is run through my board, and mix everything with CakeWalk. The main reason for buying the Juno G was the easy use and sounds for the money.

  • Very Very good i love this melody

  • WOW!!! This should be in clubs

    Amazing, good job.

  • thanks ! I have made a club version of it, if you give me your email i'll send it it to you

  • u have awesome

yea i'll give u my email.

  • wow!!!! COOL.i love this song!

  • I love it, great performance!

  • wow!...

  • Mike you should have it recorded professionaly to be sold in the market, get the authorization needed and go for it, you are so Talented, not just because you played it, but because you played right in every aspect in this Song. I applause, 2 thumbs up.

  • "No computers" meant I had to do everything from scratch, play every piece into the sequencer note for note . It's time consuming but I don't use a computer software for building tracks or mastering them. Takes all the fun out of it. maybe that's why electronic music recordings in the 70's/80's sound so much warmer.

  • Interesting video.. you did have a computer in there though.. the microKorg runs off of a DSP.. its essentially a software synth in a hardware shell :cP

  • awesome, you played this song with one hand.

  • do you have your version avaliable for download anywhere? its quite trippy. good work!

  • Afraid not, must try and do that with some of my stuff though, thanks!

  • Dang..Nice stack there..Great sound! I have the Juno G ..was just watching the movie and trying to figure out that other tune.. You know, the one with the Sitar sound they play near the end. I got the melody but cant get the chords.. Do you know them?

  • I know the tune you're talking about but i've never tried it, there's a patch on the G called "pat is away" that might do the melody alright. When I'm tring to get chords right I just listen to a song over and over until I get the first 2 or 3 chords, then it's easy finding the rest

  • Yes "Pat is away" is the best patch for this song. The chords I have so far are Cm Gm Ab. I think Fm and G are also in there.
