@BenThompson95 It will last indefinitely, they were used on some of the first go karts in Australia at a competitive level. As for the horizontal mounting, it will run perfectly as long as the carb is mounted right..... Can't beat a 2 stroke for versatility

@BenThompson95 No, Its a 2 stroke, it doesn't need to collect oil from the sump or crankcase. Its all in the fuel. Rotate the engine 90 degrees, turn the carb and start it up. Thats all it needs unless its a much more complex 2 stroke. Most of the time this will suffice

not all lawn mower engines are vertical and four strokes cannot be converted from vertical to horizontal anyway because of the oil in the crank case not lubing all the right parts if turned to much

you boys bring back really good memories of my old dragster three speed had a victa 160 cc engine with u/high comp/head 2spark plugs.with 2 stihl chainsaw 096 carbies on a small turbo was run a small gear box was attached to a main drive and dual v pulley drive centrifugal clutch, boys wear jeans and good sneakers and some upper body wear esp helmet and sunnies as bird shit hurts at 100mphr-so does blade grass/seed and blade grass.but hey hey the chicks dig this type of shit ,thanks genro8

this is a comment from the creator of this victa 160cc two stroke lawnmower engine on a bmx , i borrowed the bmx off fredakastep 1 day and when he seen it next it was like that, mikuni carby off an old suzuki rm 125, uni filter, 1.7 ltr fuel tank on handle bars, 8:1 spindle to tyre ratio,i thought about a clutch and other stuff but this was easy, because its a 2 stroke engine it can run upside down if you want it to , as long as the carby is upright,

Interesting build. Curious if the weight of the engine on that one side keeps that unbalanced. Looks like you were going at least 25 to 30mph which is pretty fast for that bike.
