My workmates complain about the food in the canteen, and they always ask if they could order something else, which tbh, the food in the canteen is rubbish and the staff are half useless
one day i went to mc donalds orderd a classic chicken sandwich and took the food homw with me and i ordered it with no mayonase and pickles on it and tomatoe on the side but the idiots made it with no pickles a crap loads of mayonaise like half a jar and the tomatoes where in the freaking sanwich getting all soft a soggy with the warmth of the chicken and bun and i was freaking pisst i was about to go back and fucking tie them up and torture them asking them why the fuck they mess up my order.

we went out to dinner last night and EVERYTHING was cold and it looked like the stake hadn't been cooked and i even think they left it sitting on a table for an hour then gave it to us cause it took like 50 minutes for them to get it to the table we were at
my dad went to kroger to get a pork roast, they ovecharged by $2 he pointed it out..... and got a FREE $20 porkroast and it was AWESOME just be polite, it works
If you're in the right in sending it back and are polite and they do spit on the food or do some other vile thing to it, sue the hell out of the them. People who are polite and want to eat out have a right to get what they order, how they order it. All of you who are saying, "Oh they'll just spit on it...I've seen it. Don't send it back" are probably the same ones would do that to someone's food or stand around and watch someone else do it and not say anything.
Unless it is a real restaurant with a real chef, or owner operated, you best bet is to just get up, pay your check and go somewhere else. Corporately owned restaurants have minimum wage folks in the back who would just spit in whatever was sent back, pop it in the microwave and send it back out to you.

That is a good one. I work at a big hotel restaurant / room service. People get their meal in their room, then they call us back, saying there's a hair on the plate. We usually don't believe 'em. You have to be very nice and understanding, but its usually not taken off the bill!

Places only do stuff to food if the person is an asshole, and the waiter tells them to. I know because I have done so myself, both on the cooking end and waiter end. I never send my food back if they mess it up. I am always afraid they'll do something bad to it like spit in it or put something worst in the mix.... I just complain politely and go on my way to a different place or go home and fix something great.
I had a co-worker who's second job was at a restaurant and she admitted to me that when people send food back, all of the cooks got in a line and each spit on the plate!... I'm sure this isn't the ridiculous custom of every restaurant though.

That is a good one. I work at a big hotel restaurant / room service. People get their meal in their room, then they call us back, saying there's a hair on the plate. We usually don't believe 'em. You have to be very nice and understanding, but its usually not taken off the bill!

Places only do stuff to food if the person is an asshole, and the waiter tells them to. I know because I have done so myself, both on the cooking end and waiter end. There is no problem if the food really isn't how your ordered it. AND another things is, DONT go out to eat if you CANT/DONT tip 15% min for good service, why you ask. Because servers remember ass holes and crap tips and get their pay back in their own way lol.

getting payed $2.65 is not something to consider as fair payment. We work for our tips, and if you can't afford to tip your server fairly you shouldn't go out to eat. Doctors don't want tips for being nice and I don't ask for tips for doing my work.
Tips are a way of a custumer toplease the waiter for his work, it's a formality used to look good to others (even for the waiter)
If tipping is necessary for having a good service it should come on the bill.
and you can complain about the payment but the truth is people work really hard for the money they spend at a restaurant just as well.

actually tips are courtesy (even if it is common) and not required because if they were they WOULD be on the bill... it's not the diner's fault that you are expected to get a tip and therefore get payed very little.. you knew what you were getting when you started working there and finding a job with minimum wage isn't that hard (I'm 14 and have a job) and I agree that if you deserve it then a tip is nice but not all waiters deserve or should get a tip.
