@damienmetalwind You know, I understand how he wants to go all natural, my Dad never tinted his hair either. However, as a big Hollywood Star I'd maybe go Grecian formula, it's so gradual nobody will notice! Data's hair looked painted on it was so black so really not a good look. Look at Mr. Shatner, his hair doesn't betray his age of 80.
@damienmetalwind No argument here. I ment his hair always looked good however gray just detracts from ones youthful vigour. If the Shatman went all natural he'd distance himself from his long list of film appearances. He'd have to do movies like,"Not so Grumpy Old Men" or TV like "Getting Old in Cleveland". My own Dad turns 80 this month and to tell you the truth, Mr. Shatner looks 10 or 15 years younger. I suspect he is high maintenance.
I met Mr. Spiner, great guy, very understanding of fans. I suggested the revival of Data in B-4 from the last STNG movie. He liked it and said he would suggest it. He probably already heard the idea of implanting some Data chips floating around in space. He acted like he never heard the idea before(B-4).Very nice of him I thought, enjoyed the conversation. He also said the fans don't want STNG anymore because of the new cast and crew of J.J. Abram's"STAR TREK".Guess he doesn't know us that well
@mrwebber35 I think a series set in the ST:TNG universe (similar to ST:Online) would do just fine. It won't happen while Abrams is still making movies because the suits think fans will 'get confused'. I would be less enthused (but would still like) an Abrams Star Trek tv series, but i assume the stars wouldn't sign on for a weekly series.
@pavelb1 Follow the money. That's why StarGate Atlantis failed. The fan base is there but only overpriced SciFi and Space carried it. Teenagers don't fork out their allowance for TV, only Daddy and Mommy who generally are members of the 98% club don't have time for TV. They have to work 40 hours + a week plus take care of everything. SG Universe failed for that and other reasons. Too radically different to the previous francises and so took too long to bring the fans in. STNG TV specials?
@mrwebber35 Yeah, those capitalist pigs wanting to make a profit off of their businesses. Won't just give away shit for free. Why don't you whiny assholes do what the majority of these shithead kids on the web do? Steal it from Hollywood with those illegal file sharing programs? There's no morality or ethics left in the West, anyways. If fags can marry, adopt kids and the government can take your shit, then stop bitching and steal!
@aadeeza Hey, don't put ideas in my head! Starbucks is a coffee shop, not a place of worship. Just because Jesus is everywhere doesn't mean you have to be all over the map.lol
that's actually pretty good man, if Patrick Stewart ever wanted to do a voice for a show or whatever and he didn't have time, he should send Brent Spiner over
That's one of the best impressions of anyone I have ever heard. If Patrick Stewart were to ever read the bible out loud, I would still listen intently.
A ha! Cast and crew of Star Trek are wittier and more clever than other cast and crew of other geeky things, like Star Wars, and maybe even more physically attractive too!
All of the people ever involved in Star Trek be it the original, next generation voyager, deep space nine or even the resent and short lived star trek enterprise will go be remembered long after they are gone.
@LordHannigan for some of them (Marina Sirtis, Linda Park, we're looking at you here) it will be for their t*ts, their willingness to show them (especially Linda Park, for that one) and nothing else, let alone the acting. But you are right.
PS I can't add Seven of Nine or Jadzia Dax to that list because their characters actually played important roles and they performed well. For them, being attractive was just a bonus, not all they had to offer to the show.
make him the next James bound voice in 007 v.games .too or bring them all back in stng -toon movies in the future ,''it will be great '' like the tony tiger cereal voice
OK, is there anyone who still wonders why they had to cast as skilled a comedian as Brent Spiner as Data? Sure, Data was pure poker face, but that's exactly the sort of role that needs a comedic talent to pull off well.
