Hey man I need some help with my cap.. I have everything hooked up right. It's literally brand new. I didn't know I had to charge it at first but I don't have the tools to do so. Is there any other sort of way I can do that? I'm running my kicker comp 720 watt amp and my kicker l5.
@YourFaceNowWhat Well you kind of need a 12 Volt light to charge the cap up. You can buy one with the link I provided, but to be honest, you might have one at your house. We already had one here for whatever reason, so check to see if you have one or maybe even ask your friends if they have a 12 Volt Tester light :)
@oren22fl I have my Capacitor hooked up, then the battery hooked up to the capacitor. But you can also hook it up battery first then cap. I already had my cap when I got my battery, so that way was easier for me. Just your own preference :)
anyone know if theres a way to check if the cap is still good? i hooked mine up at 4 30 in the morning ant did it backwords... it smoked so i think its fried
@cheeto161 Uh oh! I read the manual on mine and it says that if you charge it wrong, the cap is done. I suggest throwing that away and getting a new one. That kind of sucks, but it's better than breathing in all of the stuff inside of those and having health issues :P Amazon has good prices :)
@DeviantDigi Ok. Mine was about $40 and it has cool LEDs and shows the voltage. Obviously a terrible deal. Oh yah, and it improves my voltage. But obviously i'm the idiot in this situation. =)
@deedogg83 I suggest taking out the fuse and charging it. By charging it, you'll put less strain on your electronic equipment in your car. It might charge by just turning on your car, but it's much safer to charge it first =) Thanks for commenting!
i wanna get this same cap n use it with my Kinetik HC600 (KHC600) is this a good idea.?

throw it away, useless.

@DeviantDigi Capacitors help a little bit. Batteries help a bit more though. Caps still help enough to get one if you have voltage problems.

@SergeantPope -.- keep telling yourself that. You didn't waist your money at all. :D
