Yeah, unfortunately most places stopped selling Beyblades. There are a few select stores that have better deals with Hasbro and still have 'em stocked, but that's rare.

If you're gonna go online to buy a blade, grab an HMS. So much better than plastics (although classic blades do have their advantages. Overall, I'd rank blades like so: HMS > Classic > EG -.-)

I mean they're not HORRIBLE. I've just never really gotten into 'em. I think Plastics and HMS are a lot better in terms of battling and customization. Engine Gears however are great with versatility, especially with all the different clutches.

It's just that HMS have a lot more endurance and longevity in terms of design (60% metal).

the classics are far better in many ways than HMS .

1)the customization is far more vast in the plastic series. there are well over 200 plastic tops. there are only 26 HMS tops. not to mention the fact that most HMS bases were almost identical

2) HMS tops are minuscule in size compared to the plastic tops. It makes battle less intense and they just look absurd

3) plastic tops have much more intricate designs.

also, dont boast your opinion as fact. it makes you look bad.

Haha HMS tops were way more stronger than classics. the smaller HMS tops had a longer spinning time due to its size. HMS tops were stronger than classics this cause because of its metal features. True HMS only had 26 tops because BeyBlade was at its dying point ans sales eventually dropped... and fast. The sales caused the major upset of only 26 HMS tops ever produced.

So please get your facts and do not type your stupid little opinion's should i say, here.

A real expert would know that you need to compare other factors. saying they are better because of their strength is like saying a game is better because it has better graphics. only a novice would think that HMS are a better product just because they are made out of metal. that is very simple-minded and amateurish. 1) there are way more plastics. it has over literally 10000 times the customization HMS to offer. HMS is pathetic. you have only 3 useful tops. you have wolborg ms, dark effigy and the dragoon rubber base. that is the extent of your customization. all the other pieces are obsolete when compared them. some series eh?

2) the size. it cant be denied that this is an issue. when you are used to playing with tops a certain size, it is just plain silly to reduce that size. i know why they had to do it. full-sized metal tops would be dangerous, but thats a good reason why they never should have been metal at all. it just makes the battles boring. i CANT STAND them. you can say size doesnt matter. you can tell that to your girlfriend too. you will get the same response.

3) the battles are boring. i dont just mean becuase of the size (though it does play a big part). the tops dont knock each other around as fast or as easily. they mostly nudge eachother and they rarely fly out of the arena. plastic battles are faster paced, more intense and more colorful. HMS battles put me to sleep. plastic tops just perform better and that, in my eyes, is far more appealing than having tops that spin slightly faster or are "more balanced."

4) the launchers. the HMS launchers seemed cool at first but they wear out way to easily. i rarely use mine and after only a year of having them the launcher wears out

5) im not the only person who doesnt like HMS tops. HMS tops sold horribly. if they were so good, then why didnt anyone buy the damn things? they originally sold for around 12 dollars. i got mine for 4 dollars a piece. i am dead serious. they were a complete failure.

6) on top of the poor customization, it was hard to find the tops in stores. most stores only carried a small variety. there may have been 26 tops but MANY of them were only available in japan MANY of them were simply cheap recolors most that were available were impossible to find. in the time that they were out i visited florida, ohio, georgia, colorado, south carolina, texas, and tennessee. in all the stores, i saw at the most 10 different tops in all. what a series

THe best combo is a draciel A32 Japanese import (the plastics strong) top, bit and base with a circular metal weight disc, slightly ruffened, usually from an unoficial hobby store one. It is unbeatable because it has such a low centre of gravity and cannot be knocked off guard by anything taller than it :D
