@TheDawnOfTheGood American Civil War wouldn't be too bad; could include the European powers as alliances and they could send reinforcements (but not retrain them so long as they were in America) and you could use diplomacy to turn said powers against your enemy. That'd be awesome, even if not entirely historically accurate.

(I think they did send ships to blockade certain ports though...)

@philipbianchi well flanking them with calvary or a fast moving foot soldier unit can work.of course archers are devasting to defensive units like pikemen(slow moving).some seige weapons can destroy whole groups .of course good old fashion research tree usually wins out for me.better later period units can be a game winner quite quickly..

It's funny how the demo I can play max settings no lag but the full game refuses to start no matter what (I have reinstalled it 3 times, donwloaded and installed directx 9,10,11. downloaded and reinstalled steam god knows how many times) So I just got mount and blade: warband and that game became my new addiction. I want to know which is better. I just got rome and I really dig it. (myself being Roman)

but it frustrates me when men don't physically hit each other in the game, yet do damage and kill enemies. I've heard the battle animations are much improved in this one. as well as the graphics. Is it true?

Like the Gadaffi-faction has to keep the Libyan clans loyal or they will run over to the rebels, there can be a Tunisian and Egyptian faction, the rebels must maintain good relations with NATO (by not doing massacres and war crimes, for ex.) or they will not send weapons and financial aid, etc etc XD Just brainstorming (; + the Gadaffi faction should have the Amazon guard XD

PCs are inherently better for RTSes and shooters due to the availably of a mouse. On the other hand, consoles are better with games that require fine movements, like platformers or driving games. Both systems have strengths and flaws, don't be a prick.
