These were both great cartoons. She-ra was a bit darker (fpr what it's worth) as the whole Planet of Etheria was under the evil Horde in He-man;s case the Planet of Eternia was more peaceful and was just trying to keep Skeletor at bay.

I can't believe that I used to get up at 6 a.m. to watch this show. Don't get me wrong, it still holds a place in my childhood memories, but I don't remember it being this dorky. I loved the 2000 version of He-Man, it was so much darker and gave you some insight into the pathos of the characters. It's such a shame that it didn't take off, we could've celebrated a new era of the He-Man/She-ra epic. Oh well.

This confirms the 80's are crazy! Characters know things they shouldn't, yet don't know things they should. They congratulate when one does nothing. They commenting on the obvious. There is unspoken awkwardness between characters that can be mistaken for sexual desire. Skeltor's misogyny and Hordak's suspiciously shaped rocket raise concern. The show is hilarious to watch because of the deny-ability, that certain situations may be unintentionally interpreted into something scandalous.

The voice of Skeletor is not the same throughout this episode. Hordak neither but it is not as apparent. I really wish the woman who did She-ra's voice in this would have kept doing it. Later in the series it changed to that of a 40 something smoker's voice. The voice sounded alot like Linda Carter's voice but I'm not sure it was her.Whoever it was, it was a totally wrong choice.The voice of Angelica is WAY too deep. Almost a man's voice.Oh I am still in love with Glimmer.Why can't she be real?

The new series was Animated in Korea, this series was animated in the states using American style animation and alot of it was rotoscoped, which is why when you see a lot of people walking they're always walking in lines and a lot of characters walked the same way as each other.
