I mean, the dashboard is pure lexus, seat adjustment - mercedes, back of the car - a wide version of the previous BMW 5 series.. You could keep going on and on with that. "Driving Excitement" is completely irrelevant to those of us who are considering this car. What we DO care about is SAFETY. Will it be as safe as Mercedes? Safer, maybe, than Lexus?

We were hoping Korea would make a car like this, because we would prefer to buy from Koreans, whom we hold in high esteem. (we bought Scandinavian cars, as long as those were available). But we want to know whether Equus will offer acceptable levels of SAFETY and DURABILITY.

That is one poorly-designed front end. Silver just doesnt work on this car, it brings out way too many flaws in the design. Need to go with black.

You have to think about it this way. Don't think about where the cars came from and just think they all came from the same place. So would you get a Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8, BMW 7, and Lexus LS for about 80 to 90 thousand dollars or get the same quality, more features, and this summer Hyundai will be bringing out a 429 HP V8 Engine but you might be thinking that you can get a 93,000 dollar Mercedes with 382 HP and get all power but no features. Hyundia starts 64,500 FULLY LOADED.Think about it

This car is okay, but IMHO it doesnt compare to an S-Class MAYBE a Lexus LS. I just saw a video reviewing the S-Class 65 AMG and body roll in that car is unexistent. This car has a lot of body roll. So my conclusion is, if you only want an S-Class for its main features, then Equus is okay. But if you want the real deal, there is nothing better than the best German luxury sedan, the S class

Class leading??? In what sense??? Far as I'm aware, they're not. I'm well familiar with their lineup & what the've done over the years and can not yet applaud Hyundai just yet. Their lineup is a huge improvement but their products are not proven nor can anyone forget what Hyundai was shortly ago.

An Elantra does not lead over a 2012 Focus or Civic

An Accent does not lead over Fiesta or Fit

A Sonata Does not lead over a Fusion or Accord

Just checkout the competition in person.

@undeadkillers In terms of interior quality, Sonata just doesnt surpass Fusion where most surfaces are soft/pleasant to the touch. Almost everything inside Sonata is hard to the Touch. You get 3 engine options (4 if you add the Hybrid ), AWD which Sonata doesnt have. Then Accord (Except the Coupe) looks big & bulky but Hyundai has nothing over it when it comes to engine + tranny reliability, build quality & its high resale value. Civic is disappointing but Elantra wont be better in the long run

@Intechdude300 just reading your comment shows your ignrance. sonata has one of the highest resale values in the segment for the second year. the sonata retains 62% of its resale value in the second year. you must have never ben in a sonata or fusion. the fusion is a nice car but the intrior defntaly has hard areas..like the doors, the area around the left side of the steering wheel.other areas like backseat and around the armrest. the sonata has soft touch all over. only place glove compartment

I see it quite differently as I;m part of a huge connection to car business & I'm at Auto auctions for Dealers only 5 days a week where I need to check & bid on cars for other dealer clients of mine. I need to be aware or vehicle conditions, paint, quality, engine, & etc. So I'm well updated with the market.

A used base model 2010 Sonata with 25K will resale less at auction 2008 Accord LX with 40K. I see in happen 50+ times in front of me almost everyday
