WOW ! It is a soul-captivating rendition of faiz Sahib’s Klam. Tina Sani is a phenomenal singer, when sweetness of her voice blends with the background music, it creates such masterpieces that one never gets tired of listening it time and again. She transforms the poetical phrases into petals of flowers that float effortlessly on the surface of fountain water. If she had been a singing ravine that came down the mountains, she would have made the stones to melt with her melody.Thanx 2 tauseefqau

Faiz is a great poet in his right.. he is my favorite but i consider him a tad lucky...in that his poems were sung absolutely magnificently by some of the best crooning nightingales Noor Jehan, Maleka Pukhraj, Iqbal bano, Tina Tani off course, Nayyara Noor and the list goes on...:)

I once heard iqbal bano talk about how the ghazal "dasht e tanhai" was composed. The focus was to render the words in such a way that the rendition should bring forth a picture of whats being said in the listener`s mind. That is so true here in this ghazal as well ..:) A beautiful rendition ...:)

No doubt! Here is one thing about Urdu poetry. Ever since Ghalib, the bar has been raised very high. Faiz too was immensely influenced by Ghalib. Just look at the names of his collections:
