Good to know. I have a can in my fridge and havn't actully had this b4. We also get the white beer version but by the case only. Don't get any other Kronenbourg. Ifd it wornt for this video I wouldnt of know this was supposably diff from right in france, but a website I was on claims this beer is 5.5%,you say trhere is a 5.9% version and the can says 5%. The wheat version is an ale and I guess this be a lager. cheer's.
The only thing I can't stand is that MANY of your reviews are done using CANS! LOL I haven't had it in years, but as I remember, this was one of the best beers I ever tried (I AM a Lager lover). You should try and get some Yeungling from Pennsylvania. It wont change your life, but it's pretty good and interestingly it's from the oldest brewery in the U.S. I always enjoy trying old recipes.....
@nightmathzombieethan Many of the euro imports we get only come in cans, so that's why. At any rate, I rarely run into bad cans. Yeah, I hope to try Yeungling at some point.
@elharlock I had yeungling b4 once if your talking about that american beer. Got like I think a 22oz bottle in the usa yrs ago and it was good I thought I'd drink it again but never have.
There's no way on earth i would have been able to watch 1 min of your videos without any beers in the fridge mate, awesome channel, keep up the good work and cheers :-)
@elharlock In france i managed to get ahold of a 7.2% abv version of kronenburg, the higher alcohol content just complements the sweetness of the beer...and kicks your ass at the same time which i wasnt exactly complaining about :D
I drank this stuff in once in college a few years back, i drank 10 cans of it at a party and a mate drank 8 cans, The hangover the next day was like hell on earth, I have never experienced a Hangover as bad as that and I have sampled many beers in large amounts lol, I wouldn`t touch the stuff again, It must be the brew
hi great review, i tend to drink more lagers then any other beer and i find this one is one of the best CHEAP lagers, obviously not my first choice of beer when i buy but i do drink it quite often in bars straight from the pump, they did also make a can with a scuba which was a bit better it made it more of a fuller flavour.
I was in Paris, France a few weeks ago and I had it when I went to a cabaret show. It came in one of those big Colt 45 style bottles and I have to say that I finished every single drop with ease. The taste of it in France was close to your taste in the review. It definitely was sweet. But not the dull sweetness of wheat beer (Rickards white, Hooegarden) but like a sweet, bring a smile to your face sweetness. Fantastic beer when in France. Tastes amazing with a rare steak and grilled vegetables.
Good review. I'm not a big fan of lagers either but I'll have to try the imported version here in Canada. I've tried 1664 in Spain once (locally brewed), and it was total shite...
This beet is superb when drunk with Popcorn.... really something to behold....

leonkennedy12 1 year ago
@leonkennedy12 I got it at my local liquor store, but I live in Canada, so that's not much help to you, I guess:)

When you say "Weizen" or "Weiss", the W makes an English V sound in German. The z also makes the hard ts sound like in "tsunami", so it's pronounced:
"Vei-tsen" and
"Veiss"
You say Weiss in the south, and it's VERY bavarian. The rest of the country says Weizen.
Also. The kind of Weizen is determined on whether or not the beer is filtered of the yeast.
Cloudy wheats are called:
Hefeweizens (Hay-feh-vei-tsens)
Filtered wheats are called
Kristallweizens (Chris-tahl-vei-tsens)

I don't like this Beer at all. It has a 'cheap' taste about it. You should try Carlsberg Export, that is really crisp & refreshing

I drank a lot of this stuff while in Quebec. Very good, and especially in England.

love that beer, noticed the blind dead in the background. What are your favorite horror movies?
highervoltage2 3 years ago
Is the version you get 5.0% as well? My favourite horror films? "Dawn of the Dead", "The Thing", "Halloween", "Black Christmas", just to name a few.
