Why don't people understand? When a cop announces "I'm putting you under arrest", you are under arrest.
There are laws that protect you when you are under arrest. There are also laws that you must abide by when you are under arrest. You MUST comply physically with given instructions within safe and practical bounds. If you do not, the officer can forcefully do so.
If they arrest you and you think they're wrong, take legal action in court, you still have to comply.
So what, I comply, I prove them abusive, I sue their ass for all 20 times what that asshole of a cop makes in a year. You can fight all you want, get tazed, get beaten up, and lose in court because you refused to cooperate. Enjoy your macho pride in jail while I enjoy the money I win.

Hire a lawyer, there are plenty who will take the case. Photos helps, witnesses help, and video will definitely help.
If you have none of those, you should at least take pictures of directly after you have been arrested. There might be footage of you on the dash board cam, or at the station, so any physical injury would be present.
You are entitled to view those video by law. From there, your lawyer will take the evidence and mount up a case.

Yep..out on the hwys (same with most Dheriffs depts) at night with assholes like this guy to deal with. You know what I would love...a TV show where those who ciritsize the police daily....have to go out there and deal with the assmunches of society. Perfect Example of Tazaring done perfecting correct. Cops remember the lesson of what you see here - one zap doesn't always finish their will to fight - practice changing cartridges quickly in case one probe comes out
Oh, and if you really want to make your tazar work well - shoot the probes high up on their torso and then drive stun to the back of the calf... talk to your armory guys if you don't know what I'm talking about :) the arch is so long... you can't believe how effective it is.

Yeah, you're right. There are admittedly a few cops out there that abuse the luxury of having the power of a taser, but most who are on the receiving end deserve it. Nobody wins against the taser and they instantly display an attitude adjustment with compliance soon there after.
You'd think after several years of these videos being played all over the world that there would be less "hey fuck you pig" while the cop has one pointed directly at them.

There is always going to be an asshole element in L.E. but for the vast majority of police officers this is an effective tool that lessens the risks to both the subject and officer. For those who complain about tazer deaths...they should look at the number of deaths and injuries from officers attempting to physically control subjects. Then that argument becomes rediculous. The bottom line...don't be a fucking idiot. It will keep you out of jail and away from the tazer. Try it folks, it works

However this guy was clearly deserving of it, I mean you can't just let him drive off drunk and kill somebody, he's gotta go. But, there are a lot of abuse casses. I am neither here nor there on the issue of police carried tasers, I have never even been pulled over or anything, so I don't really worrie about myself, but I am just saying.

No. The fact of the matter is that people don't want to see people get tazed. It looks awful. But the sad reality is the REAL world isn't pretty and slick take downs don't always work. This is a fact for you. Both police AND suspects experience MUCH greater incidences of injury from empty hand techniques.

@pieceomeat tasering is an touchy subject, ive seen plenty of videos where tasering was not needed....but used, the fact is, tasering is killing people, people who more then likely didn't deserve to die, physically arresting and getting a couple bruises, isn't. It's that simple. I'm not trying to say tasering shouldn't be used, but it definitely needs to be used a hell of a lot less. And most people that die after being tased have pre-existing problems that get effected by adrenaline. Also taser has never lost a wrongful death lawsuit.
