The blue light was the chemicals from the exhaust refracting sunlight. The white spiral was a result of the light from the booster's flame. I think that Obama's rating will get to the low 30's... that's where bush and clinton were when they left office. Obamas only 10 points away from that now, according to rassmussen. Him and Bush would have had about the same drop in approval (bush's rating was very high post 9/11) which would kind of be fitting considering they're pretty much the same guy anyway.

Hope you're kidding about the "stargate" comment. They're most likely testing laser technology. In the 80's, we used to see the same thing over the Albuquerque area, and they were either missiles or lasers. It's wierd, but some lasers actually bounce around in the atmosphere, or even bend around in a 180 and head right back to the source. I've seen pics and vids of it. I have not done much research on "project blue beam", but it may be related.
