This is one of the best and important films for this history of Italy. Beautiful film..One of my favorite of all times, It describe very well that dark period Italy passed by when there were  no jobs thanks to Mussolini Dictator government

few people know that the kid (8 during the movie) decided to work as actor till his 20 years; later I abandoned the cinema and became a maths teacher. the scene of the crying was realistic couse the director, during a pause, put in his jacket some cigars to accuse him of the steal, when the kid start really to weep, the camera started to work...
