  • She hates to see me cry, wil never make me jealous, don´t give me presents- Merry Christmas to anybody content with a woman´s nature. And the rest, who get the upper hand.

  • dammm i luv this song : D

  • She ain't a foolin'.

  • so much better than the remastered

  • @loxab2 Ya, I was just thinking that; it's much better.

  • gr8 song

  • Love this melody, minor 6th jump from C# to A and then works back down.

  • that piano roll just kills me :))

  • the first seed of reggae

    amazing song

  • @cryspicker2002 I can't hear reggae anywhere in this, bar the guitar accent on the beat...Though that was common in a lot of the R&B that was around at the time of this record too, and judging by the vocals, I think thats what he was going for . Anyway ska was already happening a good few years before this record in Jamaica.

  • McCartney sounds possessed on this song

  • I love this song!

  • god i love you paul

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhh

  • This song is so underrated in the Beatles catalogue. Rolling Stone magazine neglected to place this Beatle Classic in their listing of Top 100 Beatle songs! Pity!

  • La musica en los vinilos suena muy diferente...

Hay algo especial en ellos. Es como si The Beatles aun vivieran y tocaran justo aun lado de donde estamos.

  • can't live without this song : ]

  • At 1:24, they leave out one of the guitar afterbeats. They could have easily punched it in, but they left it sounding real!

  • Ahhhhhhhh.......music.

  • this is song is soooooo rock in' THE BEATLES FOREVER : ]

  • I liked this song a lot even when it was new. It still knocks me out.

  • blues and polka and twangin' country, sheer genius. The BEATles were bigger than jesus christ in 1965.

  • 0 dislikes, the way it should be

  • great song. if it wasn't, how would the jeff beck version sound so good? thanks mccartney, not the least for providing another outlet for beck's talents.

  • The chorus is so different from the verses, in an exteremly good way!!!!

  • @bigquackers1998 thats right, from a straightforward bar blues, straight to the relative minor of the scale.... brillian Beatles!!!

  • The Capitol version may have added a little reverb to this mix. Regards, The '62 Mathew St. Band (1 Man-Full Group Retro)

  • Anybody know why the piano is so far down in the mix?

  • This is the best version. Parlophone mix is superior.

  • The guitar riff when Paul starts to sing has been taken for the song Doctor Robert, 2 years after.

  • I remember the first time I heard the mono Parlaphone recording (a picture-disc re-issue of I Feel Fine/She's A Woman). It was shocking, raw, almost like hearing another band.

  • this is a brilliant song, Pauls such a great singer (well .. actually there all brilliant :):) )

  • the beatles had Parlaphone, Then Went on to Apple?? or am i wrong

  • @nightcrawler511 - no, you're absolutely right. Regards, The '62 Mathew St. Band (1 Man-Full Group Retro)

  • @OlRetro do you kno y?

  • @nightcrawler511 - sort of. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they launch Apple after Brian died? They weren't happy with their royalty deal at Parlophone, and they wanted to expand into discovering new musical artists themselves & put them on Apple records, their own label. They were also wanting to discover inventors, writers, painters, clothes designers, & other non-musical artists.

  • @OlRetro so the beatles made Apple studios? they were in Apple before brian died i think im not sure.

  • @nightcrawler511 - I think they continued doing the bulk of their recording at Abbey Road studios, where they had always recorded, only on their own Apple label instead of Parlophone or Capitol.

  • Great vocal from Paul. Tune!

  • BEATLES forever : ]

  • Parlophone EMI is the best. Better then the crap that came from Capitol. I use to work for Capitol. Can you say butcher job on The Beatles and other groups.

  • Can't really explain it but THIS song sums up everything that I love about The Beatlemania period. WOOOOO! :-) It's always been one of my faves.

  • Great sound and no reverb unlike that Capitol garbage. Give me Parlophone anytime.

  • I'm BAACKKK! This is my first time hearing the non-reverb, and I DO have to admit, Paulie's, sorry, Macca's, sexy growl is much better-sounding on this true version. My twin bro has the entire Mono remastered box set, dammit! I asked for it for Christmas (on his recommendation, absolutely NO STEREO, he said, and we're Americans!) and all I got was a lousy Beatles T-shirt, not even the Abbey Road shot! ;)

  • What's cool about the beatles is that the B side for most other bands was a crap filler song, whereas a beatles B side song is better than most other bands hit song/songs.

  • man, goes this sound GREAT!!!

thanks so much for posting - this is the real deal

  • Everything in this box set is better then the Capitol Albums.

  • Have you ever heard Capitol's version of "Help?" ;)

  • Always loved this piece. Simple, direct. Ya just gotta move to this one.

  • the beatles seriously have to get on itunes so i get awesome songs like this, I'm down, and rain that don't appear on any of the main albums

  • This and I'm Down are on Past Masters Vol.1. Rain is on Vol.2

  • Can't get over how well a mono version plays on YT.

  • this bass line kicks ass

  • For some reason, this song sums up everything about Beatlemania and that era/vibe to me. No idea why this song should - but there you go!

  • LOVE you Beatles!!!<3

  • Follow that...

  • Damn straight, McCartney is definitely one of the most versatile singers ever - he sounds like a different person sometimes! Compare Here There and Everywhere to Oh Darling to Hey Jude to Arrow Through Me to Back in the USSR to Why Don't We Do it in the Road to I've Got a Feeling to this song right here to Kansas City.....

  • The difference between this,'Long tall Sally', 'I'm down' & 'Yesterday', 'I've just seen a face' & others such as 'What youre doing' ,'Good day sunshine' etc. highlight the sheer versitility of Mc.Cartney as a vocalist

  • CooL n.n

  • This is maybe the only song in the Beatles' catalog with an "oom-pah" beat!

  • I love how they initially play on the beat in the intro and then change to playing off-beat just to mess up our expectations!

  • Actually they're always playing on the 2 and 4, but since we haven't heard the 1 at the top, we are tricked into believing we are hearing the 1 and 3... Spirits of the Material World by the Police uses a similar principle.

  • @emanresu777 Do you think this was deliberate studio manipulation for effect, or was this an accident?

  • @emanresu777 The Beatles song "Two Of Us" does the same thing, only more subtly. I love it, just another little trick to keep you on your toes. That's why the Beatles were so fantastic - they weren't satisfied with a song unless SOMETHING wasn't quite conventional.

  • Paul's voice is great

  • Note to Beatles4President:

The U.K. version is *far superior* to the U.S. Capitol version.

But it *was* Capitol who did all that horrible marketing and repackaging - confusing quality with quantity - to pander to the masses, yes?

Thanx fer this, the *best* and *ONLY* version of "She's A Woman", m8...

  • First reggae in pop music history (1964) ! The Beatles have invented EVERYTHING in modern music !!

  • I have a sambaesque version of it too. I'll try to upload from 45 vinyl if I can.

  • even metal :D

  • STOP FITEING!!!!!!!!!!!! make love not war!

  • My favorite song at the moment.

  • the opening notes sound like Wild Honey Pie

  • My favourite B side!

  • i can play and sing this song at the same time!

  • This song supposedly has "ugly chords" providing the accent along with the drums, at least ugly for 1964.

Isn't there a version of this just dripping in reverb? There is a drier version and a wetter one I think.

  • yeah, you can thank capitol records for adding all that reverb. i can't stand that!

  • i can never get enough of the beatles and never will...BEATLES RULE!!!

  • I will say one thing and one thing only...beatles rule!!!

  • Yeah it is Paul and sound like him too

  • Comment removed

  • what?!!

  • Jeez, people, don't neg and spam him -- it's just an opinion. I'm a huge Beatles fan, and there's nothing wrong with this comment. And it's true -- Paul's voice does sound different from his usual voice.

  • lol

  • Paul has such a strong voice on that one.

  • I forgot where i heard it from but, he was trying to imitate Little Richards voice.

  • I think you're referring to "Long Tall Sally", a Little Richards song, which he said that no man would be able to sing it better than him. Well, I think Paul McCartney did.

  • Well i think it was one or the other, all I know is he reached his limit in this song.

  • He did love Little Richard.

  • one of my favs from my fav band!

  • Still sounds brilliant.

  • pure melody...

  • paul sounds so good on this

  • the live version on anthology 2 is even better in my opinion, more rocking

  • This is my all-time favorite Beatles song!

  • Perhaps the first significant example of the genius of Paul McCartney.

Later versions played in concerts may lack some of Martin's production but essence of this work remains.

    Amazing and so under-rated

  • Is that Paul singing?

  • Of course!

  • Man this song just owns on so many levels!

  • @sublime123 yup

  • i think there is ANYTHING wrong in this song. is just perfect, the music, the SOUND, their voices, the rhythym, everything is putted in a great way!

i love the beatles, and i'll always love 'em (:

  • @missmcpolly I AGREE MY FRIEND : ]

  • great

  • absolutely love this song :D

  • I love the beatles! This video is sooo kool!

  • On the Anthology, Harrison said that the Beatles music always sounded the best to him on 45 rpm singles. When I listen to this, I know what he was talking about.

  • lol. may be true. but this is still digital.

  • Do you mean a digital copy?

    The original recording was analog.

  • No, what you hear on youtube is digital.

  • this song rocckss!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I bet that pressing of that record is worth a few bob.
