  • I finnished this game once. hard as hell I tell ya!

  • so good. when i listen to this song on youtube, just the song alone, it's euphoric. But somehow when I get to this level in the game, the visuals of that level (which are good in themselves) don't match up with the music somehow and it takes away from the music. I'm not sure how to explain it. do you feel this way?

  • RAPID TRANSPORT...

    ULTRA COOL SLIDE!

  • I never made it to the machine :(

  • Has anybody noticed the death sound effect is actually laughing?

  • I've only beat the boss in one round of bouncing around inside two or three times (out of maybe 12 playthroughs), but when you do, it's an unspeakably amazing feeling!

  • SORRY, GOING NOWHERE

  • I used to hate the Level but I enjoy the Music good way to get a Game over too!

  • This track is so slick. The whole Sonic Spinball soundtrack was.

I actually thought this was the easiest level. It took longer than the first level, but it was more straightforward and had less risky parts (no sludge from missing the barrel and stuff like that).

  • "SORRY, GOING NOWHERE!"

  • You know, with some minor changes, I could see this being used in Sonic the Hedgehog 2's scrapped "Cyber City Zone".

  • actually its called the vergo machine i think....its a roboticiser that can turn animals into robots faster than normal

  • @evee608 Its name is the Veg-O Machine, as the game says. And yes, it's practically mass-producing robots; they're brought in tubes, like mere objects.

  • This song was actually planned to be Genocide City Zone's music.

  • @Sphynxinator no,the 2 player casino night theme was supposed to be genocide city zone's music

  • @dsdface Wow, how do you know? :O

  • @Sphynxinator well,i'm not ENTIRELY sure but just the fact that there were different music for the 2p stages probably means that these songs were supposed to be used for deleted stages and also:

    /watch?v=9xKr5L17ulI&feature=related&safe_search=on

you might have been confused with the facts that some of the deleted genocide city zone tiles were recycled in this level

  • @dsdface Game in the link is not the official game, just a hacked version. :D So they put the musics randomly.

  • @Sphynxinator i know but thats the most approved theory i think :P

  • @dsdface I see. :)

  • lately i've been listening to this song multiple times daily....so good to come home to after work

  • Game creeped the fuck out of me when i was 8. But the music and challenge kept me at it.

  • The low pass filter that occurs at 1 minute would be impossible to do on the SNES. Goes to show that real time synthesis is way better than MIDI.

  • @BasementHaxxProd Thats my favorite part. For some reason it also synch's when you hurl Sonic all the way up to the platform that leads you to the boss.

  • this was such a confusing level, but easy to figure out

  • Strangely enough this was the first stage that I mesmorised the locations of all the emeralds.

1 / 2. In the machines on the far left and right, need to get into the power chambers 3 times per side or get lucky.

    3. on the left side, 3rd chute to shoot up.

    4. on the right, go down the tube on the left of the moving platform (going up leads to the boss)

    5. in the centre(ish) capsule in the animal prison.

  • once i played this level ,then i collected all emeralds, but all of a sudden i got two extra chaos emeralds . then i was like wtf two extras?O:

  • i think it was called veg-o machine cause robots are next tp mindless like people in a coma aka vegetables. or sega went with the "veg-o" theme from the name of the fortress.

  • funny that this level was also the design for Genocide/Cyber City in Sonic 2

  • the best part is 0:00-4:02

  • this is sound like dubstep WWWWWAAAAABBBBBBBB

  • Dunno why, but as a kid this was always my favourite level.

  • Sonic Spinball music just SCREAMS Genesis.

  • 0:58 - 1:05 :)

  • @XUchiha523X HEY! THAT'S MY FAVORITE PART! I didn't think someone else loved that part, too.

  • @xHEDGEHOGMAN1x love that part man :D

  • @XUchiha523X THAT PART is the reason why I love this song. What about you?

  • someone should make a dubstep remix of this

  • this is the kind of music you do the robot to.

  • Took me a little under a hour to beat this damn level. It got so confusing!

  • I'm reading in Wikipedia right now about how electric motors work. This music is eriely appropriate.

  • I'm reading in wikipedia about how electric motors work. This music is strangely appropriate.

  • My 14 year old neighbor listens to music similar to this all day long. She thinks that this kind of stuff is so new and trendy. But she's wrong: it's older than herself - Sonic SP is the proof :D

  • @xHULIx u mean the 16-bit?

  • @Rachiou077

No, I mean this click-clack, crash, boom, bang stuff, electronic-sounding kind of music!

  • @PinkPang111 me neither. i always used a cheat code just to see what the levels looked like.

  • i never got this far into the game. i always sucked at this

  • Does anyone have the European version of this track? It sounded so much better in my opinion. :x Maybe it's the emulator that's been used, but the electronic sounds are much more melodic in that, and that loud "BIAOW BOW" noise shouldn't exist.

  • @Eggman890 The "biaow bow" noise exists due to the emulator. Setting the High Quality filter on the emulator (Gens) fixes that annoying problem. I think Kega already emulates that properly, since it's more accurate in means of actual hardware. But the European versions did fix the music a tad bit. (The Options screen music was sped up, the intro tune was extended, and the music of Lava Powerhouse was sped up and bug fixed to prevent the PSG from dying off after the music looped once.)

  • @sonikku1011

yeah thats really crappy it only does then with the gems sound engine,i read that somewhere.

  • @aryinc Yeah the Gems Sound Engine was known to be the worse in Genesis games. Also, VGM's ripped from games that use this sound driver have this problem even if you rip them from Kega Fusion, found that out myself. (You can't get a clean VGM due to the fact that it won't dump the filter data along with the song. I dunno if Steve Snake will fix this. BTW he's the guy who made Fusion.)

  • @sonikku1011

well it is.i barely can name 5 games that sound good with gems sonic spinball sounds decent at best golbal gladiators earthworm jim 1+2 comix zone toy story and that about it.

  • @aryinc I agree with you, Comix Zone has an awesome soundtrack, same with EJ 1 and 2. (I haven't played Toy Story or Global Gladiators though. :V)

  • @sonikku1011

if you put the right devolper behind the gems kit they could get some quality samples out of the genesis i think.

  • @sonikku1011

  • The best part of this stage is actually EVERYTHING, including F***ing up the pathetic Veg-O Machine! "SMASHING!!! SMASHING!!! SMASHING!!! SMASHING!!! SMASHING!!! SMASHING!!! SMASHING!!! SMASHING!!! SMASHING!!! SMASHING!!! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! !OVERHEATING!" Mwa hahahaha!

  • man i forgot all about the music to this man! thank god for youtube.

  • wow this sound so dark and so techno it just awesomeness right there

  • lol, this music always reminded of zack from power rangers dancing.

  • This feels wierd song. I dont know wy but it goose me chilss but it doesnt scare me at all.

  • This is my favorite song!!! I love the music!!!!!!!

  • Makes ya wanna dance just from listening to it.

  • This level can go eat ten dicks.

  • This song is the corporate west.

    Go to work.

  • I love this music lol u can even dance to it

  • Yhis is my second favorite song in the game, the first is Lave Powerhouse.

  • this stage is where i get the extra balls

  • GeeeeEEEEEEEEE WAA WAA WAA WWAAAAAAAAAAAA (Sonic's death sound)

This level was way too confusing. There was so much going on and you couldn't stop going in the wrong shoot or something like that. awesome upload

  • @DDReaper16 WRONG WAY? WRONG WAY? WRONG WAY!

  • @DDReaper16 it waz my fav. lvl.

  • @DDReaper16 agreed. i couldn't even stop for a minute to catch my bearings. Remember that small chamber that hung above the flippers at the start of the stage? where sonic jumps in and starts flying all over with electricity? That sent sonic flying out in all kinda directions causing some really messed up deaths

  • man, the deaths in this game are intense! theres pools of lava, crushed between gears, more lava, and well sewage water which isn't deadly but its gross lol :D

  • Ok, There is Water which Sonic drowns in, Toxic Sludge, Molten Lava/Metal, Gears, Lava

  • oh yea I forgot, sonic cant swim and he hates water x]

  • this was my favourite level from the game for 2 reasons. this music, and the fact that the boss was a roboticizer. never really got the name "Veg-O Machine"...

  • @diahard88 Veg-O Machine. Like a Salad Shooter, I presume.

  • @diahard88 It kinda sounds like a machine that makes fake vegetables

  • @diahard88

It turns whatever it is into a vegetable, per se. I imagine the animals are in a coma when they become roboticized, IEbecome vegetables.

  • This level's the best one in the game. I like the song too. Busting prisons open, the flippers that act like elevators, those things that stop the wheels at the start, slides and the boss. Another thing is, you know those platforms that move? There's a way to stop them. If you look up, they stop instantly. Wierd, huh?

  • The two parts of it where you have to somehow hit Sonic really hard with a flipper to get him all the way up somewhere, I discovered something about that. If you make him curl into a ball while the flipper is up, the entire flipper actually moves up, like an elevator, to help him get there.

  • it took me sooooooooooooooooo long 2 figure that out. i used 2 do it the hard way and try 2 get sonic up there. then my dad came into the room and saw me playin it, and told me 2 try that, lmao! i think i was in elementary school at the time lol

  • the stage I never got to pass... when I played the game I played it, mostly for its music, and to see if I could finally beat it. if my SEGA wouldnt be broken I would probably be there and not writing this now lol :D

  • This level scares me IDK why but it does and IDK if the music is good to me or scares me XD

  • this is like one of those songs that Zack from MMPower Rangers would dance to.
