@ejuarez0 Her name is Chitose Hajime. She was born in a tiny island called Amami which is located in the southern part of Japan. She has been singing Shima Uta(traditional Island music) since she was little, that requires special unique singing technique which you probably noticed in this song as well. Her singing voice was often called "God's voice" by people from the island.
