  • cool voice and the rendition of the song is perfect.

  • One of the many great songs of the Sixties, sung with great flair.

  • This Bosa Nova version beats Sinatra's over-stylized rendition all to hell. And....the title of this is "IN OTHER WORDS" ....NOT "Fly Me to the Moon" .

  • Extra good!

  • 31 Ke$ha fans landed in here by accident ...

  • Anyone know the orchestra for this one?

  • @pacatrue : It sure sounds like Gordon Jenkins.

  • sounds like elevator music lol

  • This beautiful voice can only belong to an alien from out of this world...try listenning to "light my fire" by Julie. Masterpiece

  • This is one of the most amazing voices I've heard in my life... Hers, and Peggy Lee's.

  • Wonderful voice, and she was stunning too! every inch the heartbreaker!

  • I Love !

Julie London's voice is so beautiful !

  • I prefer 70's rock n roll but i like other kinds of music also.I reconise talent when i see it.Julie London i humbly stand and bow at my monitor to you.......May i have the next dance?

  • 30 People prefer rap to good music.

  • I just love her and the song, but her!

  • in my personal opinion, i dont like the tempo and the way she sings the song

the original is way better imo

  • I simply love this song my favorite bar tune only I would sing it slow and sultry... Very slow...

  • I feel sad for that 31 people who have shit in their ears.

  • 30 people can't fly nor recognize great music

  • Great song. Thanks for posting.

  • Thumbs up if Rampart brought you here!

  • Thumbs up if M*A*S*H brought you here. "Damn Army!"

  • hot fox in any way!!

  • they do not makem like julie any more.

  • Grandmothers favorite song before she died. I still listen to this and she comes to mind immediately.

  • Her voice just simply pull me out of my world. This song is the best

  • What a babe that julie was. Hot damn!!

  • Julie London's voice makes me dream ... She was pretty and she keeps on being for me !

  • old song make me shy

  • I sometimes don't like when other artist copy Frank Sinatra but sometimes it's ok.

  • @xxxadamman Sinatra sang standards. And considering that so many of his contemporaries could sing better than he could, it's more than "ok" that they sang the songs you think were his.

  • @xxxadamman well lots of Jazz musicians copy their song from other jazz musicians, as you can see in this song, not just Julie who copied it but also Tony Bennett, and even Westlife.

  • @xxxadamman Julie London's version of this song was recorded before Sinatra's FYI.

  • This song actually is great while running on the treadmill.

  • Damn, the beginning, I'm sure I heard it on another song...

  • They just don't make em like they use to . . .

  • in french class my teacher said we can listen to music on her computer. i asked her to play this song and at least 8 people knew it :D

  • Oh, Bayonetta~

  • she's perfection

  • definitely about to fall asleep to this mix. im very excited

  • Beautiful music sung by a beautiful lady.....wonderful

  • she is a gorgeous woman

  • This is my new favorite song. <3

  • Well said, amce7946, "Julie - I Iove You"... not only when you are resplendent but also for... your shortcomings ...

  • To all the regular morners of the "modern bad music" , start listening to underground and independent music and you will find plenty of gems in all sorts of manners you can even think of...

  • Hottest Nurse EVER

  • WOW

  • Julie London... Her voice makes me feel all tingly all over.

Such a smooth, sensual tone. Every word pronounced with delicacy and feeling.

I 100% agree with the top comment. Modern music has lost a certain something over the years. And this talented singer is an embodiment of all that was lost.

Music needs more class, more sophistication, more charm.

Less bass, less scantily clad backup dancers, and less autotune.

  • so good. Cannot say much more.

    Just listen.

  • This version is too fast.

  • perfect!

  • 2:00

    Really pretty dress.

  • @kinshua I would kill to have that dress....oh yeah and somewhere to wear it to.

  • Julie London is the one and only....

  • What a lovely arrangement. What an interesting sounding voice.

  • The first time I heard this was in the Ford Probe Ad years ago. Then later appreciated how brilliant this song actually is, after listening to it in full on a compilation CD. It's just a masterpiece, I particularly like the piano arrangement. Get's me every time. I mean c'mon...who'd every thought that bossa nova could sound this good. Amazing!

  • @MISSTER543210 I've discovered a lot of wonderful songs from ads. Now I've gotten used to muting the noise on the tv every chance I get. Who knows what I'm missing out on because of it. :-O

  • I was named after Julie London. She was one of my mom's favorite singer's.

  • @wolverinesaidhey LOL, hilarious comment wolverine ;) Yeah! you have a strong point! it must have started somewhere.. and the Backstreet Boys are not very innocent :p

  • אחד היפים !!!!!!!!!!

  • @modo203 so true

  • @AutumnSplendors then what's ya doin here listening to this song?....

  • Holy Shit balls she's hot. Why can't we have full figured women like this now-a-days?

  • Thumbs up if hearing this on Mad Men brought you here :)

  • @chuong19 Lol, the last time I heard this song was in Bayonetta! =). Great game.

  • @chuong19 I hate seeing this same thing on every video, "thumbs up if random television show, or video game, or other nonsense contemporary crap brought you here". are you people not coming here for Julie London's inimitable voice, is popular culture your only window into good music?

  • @chuong19 Love Mad men. I think its probably one of the best series ever made.

  • @chuong19 exactly!! I just watched that episode!

  • @chuong19 I never had the urge to watch "Mad Men!" Thumbs up if Julie London brought you here!

  • @chuong19 no .....PAN AM SERIE

  • Julie is the most sensual singer of all time.Femme fatale looks and sexy smokey voice that makes you begging for more that you can imagine.REAL LEGEND!

  • I Love the voice, are there any movies or videos?

  • Klasyk:)

  • wow the way she says "true" at 0:48 really captures me cuz it has such a gentle and comforting tone its just so beautiful the way she sings it. It has such a lazy and calm feeling and like all the worries and troubles don't matter and just swept away and all i can feel is just peace throughout the whole song i just cant describe what im feeling but to say that my ear's experienced heaven for 2:34 seconds

  • Comment removed

  • I searched the whole youtube to find that version -because I didn't know the singer's name- This version is the best, oh, and Frank Sinatra's:)

  • Wow, my generation sucks...sorry guys. I'd have to assume I'm an outcast - In that, I enjoy this sound. And I'd have to assume that these coming years, I'll spend them reveling at the marvels of our past rather than enjoying the new creations of the future. Baby Gaga sold her soul and if you look closely into her beady eyes you can faintly see a lost, worried child...Beiber is in fact an Android. A Disney-Xv2000 model to be exact.

  • I want to live in the 50's... love those pics, music, clothes, make up...

  • @JoanOfArc10 I agreee, Somone should make a town thats made to be the fiftys, with nothing modern

  • Julie and her husband Bobby Troop, a talented pianist, were both in that old seventies TV show,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Emergency?

  • o wow fly me too the moon is old

    O.o

  • Catherine heigl sing now?

  • Anyone else think the Doors ripped off the intro to this version of this song for Break on Through?

  • how did Americans evolve from that magic to lady poker face and justin beeper? something must have gone very wrong in our latest evolutionary cycle.

  • @modo203 Yes, it's got to be all of the environmental toxins getting into the womb

  • Justin beeper is a Canadian so you cant blame him for him stuffing up your culture

  • @africanjim1 aw really? I thought Canada was the 51st US state or something

  • @modo203 I blame rock and roll. Everyone thought anyone could do it, so true talent went away behind the loud guitars and booming bass lines. It no longer mattered how much singing talent you had, all you needed was a good beat. People got used to that and eventually good music was lost. It's coming back though thankfully.

  • @modo203 As with a comment on the previous song in this playlist (was that you too?) I would press the like button here 100 times if possible.

  • @modo203 Justin Beiber* is Canadian, and why is it such a problem music evolves? There are still artists around like this, don't feel the need to slate other people because you think it's cool.

  • @voidlam Agreed 100%. I hate seeing comments on YouTube complaining about modern music and comparing it to music like this. As it just so happens, people like that sort of music, it's simply a matter of opinion. >.>

  • @modo203 Unchecked liberalism.

  • @modo203 I --ABSOLUTELY-- AGREE..

  • @modo203 hahahahahah exactlyyyyyyyyyyy

  • @modo203 It's because of reincarnation. Three billion dogs and cats got incarnated as humans. Whaddya expect?

  • @Frisbieinstein that's hilarious frisbie. watch out lest the dogs get offended ;) Cheers!

  • @modo203it aint just america listened to the latest crop of english stones hair pretty boy 3 chord trash garage rock bands? so very very ugly.devolution is occurring elsewhere in the Western World. but take heart there are some really good german bands and jazz musicians. torsten de winkel, rammstein, trumpeter till bronner to name a few who have been around a while. u got 2 search to find good music. luckily we ve got youtube now. look up chris cain if you like blues on the funk jazz tip.

  • @modo203 Bieber is Canadian.

  • @modo203 stop being mean, world is changing in every way, anyway - gosh, she was amazing <3

  • @modo203 I grew up over my mothers little jazz club. In the early 60's, America had style. Which was a miracle coming out of the 50's with Eisenhower & Mamie. Then, the sad Viet Nam debacle, now we are a nation where jeans, cargo pants, t-shirts and flip-flops are the norm. It's like the song in Chicago "Class". Now have generations of people who have never experienced the concept of class and style. Boo-hoo....

  • @sobieskilinda couldn't have put it better myself. Thank you sobi

  • OMG THIS IS MUSIC..... OF ITS HIGHEST CLASS.

  • 22 people are scared of flying to the moon.

  • The female Frank Sinatra.

  • @JamesMerlin2 Indeed. Both great vocalist

  • The 21 dumbasses that disliked this song should be smacked, they don't know real music if it hit them in the face.

  • I found this song because of my video game Bayonetta, but I must say this song fantastic. I play it all the time,

  • she sort of looks like lyndsy lowhand.

  • I love it!
