  • dear god!!! use lamb damn it!!!

  • What?

  • sucks

  • FAIL!

  • Since when gyros was a sandwich?

  • yea good work

  • good work man!

to all these greek haters, probably they havent been abroad and they dont know the lack o gyros and the need to be creative in order to prepare your own one at home...

  • where is the rest of this video? This is great comedy!

  • @C0mmanderEddingt0n

That's all.. You put in the fridge, then take out and eat raw.... LOL

  • This is not a gyro this is my dog SKATA

COME TO GREECE TO EAT GYRO AND SEE THE BEAUTY OF FOOD

  • Why cant expert village videos be number or marked in some way to tell the order of the videos.

  • Why are people getting all pissy about the way this guy is making this Gyro? Sure it's not %100 like how they did it when it was first created...I do believe many dishes of many different origins have made it's way over to different places and have been changed ...who cares...pizza doesn't always have the exact same toppings.. we don't all make stir fry the same and so on but we still call it pizza and stir fry..... give the guy some credit

  • pork? HERO? gyro, yeeeroo. harp darp

  • sharpen your knife

  • He is messing up i have never in my life had a gyro sandwich with pork it always has the slow cooked thin sliced beef and lamb mixture.... that looks gross with pork ugh cooks on tv ruin everything!

  • @bellareina05 Authentic gyro meat is made from pork they way they do it in Greece.

Lamb and Beef mixture is the American way of doing it. But still this malaka way off

  • where is the rest ?

  • You wanna taste it right? You have to come here, that recipe is kinda false.

  • no way is that pork, not that colour!!!

  • this is pork filet -- ''psaronefri'' in greek , no the best part for gyros..the meet must be with fat and slowly grilled.

  • @kouyos Grilled? then it wouldnt be gyro meat...

  • I'll agree w/ "truemirror", the best gyros I've ever had was back in the late 70's in a small restaurant called "Perros Brothers Gyros". They'd give you a gyro that was so full of meat, and tomatoes, and sauce and onions, you could take 2 showers a day and for 3 days people could tell that you'd eaten there with all the garlic that came from that sandwhich. Pure Food Bliss. I miss home because of places like that.

  • by the way I'm sure u meant lamb...

  • no...PORK!i am from greece and I eat Gyros 2ice a week

  • whatever

  • thats just wrong,greek-food-noob!

  • Just dont say that this is gyros.this is just lamp...Gyros is ONLY PORK...

  • OMG!!! You are cutting your knife into plastic?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • somebodys not paying attention!

  • the only reason why ppl use pork these days is because pork is the cheapest meat out there compared to lamb meat there fore must vendors use pork for there gyros because its cheaper meat to use

  • seriously ur videos i see u try but u really need to step up if u r representing Greece

  • well this is not gyros..its just cooked meat..1st of all:gyros is made of pork..2nd its grilled by spinning around of itself..

  • well i;m sorry too but i'm greek as well and gyros consists ONLY of pork. Kebab is made of lamb not gyros. i can't possibly know what everyone prefers to make but the original greek recipe says pork

  • @kill3rL00pGR im greek also and really in dosent matter what kind of meat u use these days but the original gyro was lamb

  • lie

  • Sorry, I'm from Chicago and I've had plenty of gyro, the main part of the meat consists of lamb, I don't know what this guy's talking about.

  • what kind of meat exactly is used in gyros??? or should I just leave it to the restaurants???

  • @Blomar69 the kind you get when you go out to eat, is a combonation of ground beef, and lamb usually.

  • but is it bought as a combination or do you combine them yourself?

    thanks

  • @Blomar69 there are places online you can go to buy it as a combo. you can buy the combo as a cone that you roast on a spit, or slices. I have seen it on amazon. google, gyro meat. you can also mix it up yourself. I haven't tried it as of yet, but I a looking forward to trying it. there are a couple of videos on youtube that show people making gyro meat, and how they do it. good luck!:)

  • Only pork.never lamb,omg!!!!lamb?

  • Only pork or chicken.the original is pork.this video is totaly wrong.ask a greek man how to make Gyros.

  • oh thanks

no, I think it does consist of some lamb one way or another

  • you know this is not a gyros...this is anything else except gyros

  • in the good old days go to greece now it is all pork shoulder and chicken

  • I thought döner was veal.

  • hahahahahahaha

  • how many videos for one recipe do they have ??!

  • greek gyros->30%pork 70%fat

    (unhealthy but delicious)

this recipe may be good but it's something totally different

  • Gyros is one of the most healthiest dish in greece. it is made by people who follow all the rules of hygiene, and as for fat, it's the only disadvantage

  • It´s acctually LAMB, not PORK

  • now days most ppl use pork

  • I use Chicken with olive oil and garlic and basil It owns the original lamb recipe BITCH

  • Pork? gtfo. go lamb or go home.

  • Pork? Fail!

  • No it isnt, only in the USA. In Greece, you will not find one single shop in the entire country making that terrible beef-lamb thing they have in the states. Its pork. Its also layered and not minced meat.

  • 40 years ago it was originally made in USA with a whole leg of lamb basted with a wonder full combination of spices, every ten minutes as it roasted & before & after slicing, no beef, no pork. Though it may not have been the original meat used in Greece they where the best gyro's I have ever eaten, it went down hill when they started to use lamb & beef loafs, the closest I've had to that are the King Gyro's in ohio, except theirs I think are a beef & lamb loaf, but great spices.

  • Gyros is pork,pig do you know?omg...

  • I'm just saying the way back then, in usa, it was made with a leg of lamb and it was the best.

  • how do you prepare the lamb i dont want a pork gyro

  • Its all good in my book.

  • are you even from greece of course gyros is from pork. the "juicy" parts

  • Actually, the traditional Grecian gyros sandwich/wrap is made out of either pork, chicken, and -occasionally- beef.

  • don"t try again
