Is this the same stretch of road the family took yesterday to Ottawa? In the dark it sure looks like it is? Was the power out after the left turn onto the other road? I didn't see any lights from houses but I did see what looked like mail boxes and reflectors for drive ways.
Canada sure is a beautiful country even what is seen through headlights of a car in the dark. You are blessed.

Houses are usually far back from the road, so often you just don't see any lights from the road.
