i just found out that there are a bunch of references throughout the series refering to the farseers trilogy....im kind of sad i didnt read that first. Regardless this series is amazing, I'm up to the final book and i can wait to get my hands on it.

Yes I definitely like John Howe's illustrations the best. Especially Amber and Paragon.

Yeah I agree with you. The American covers that depict the characters from the trilogy don't match my image of them either- I think the covers go for something a lot more glamorous and a lot less rugged. The exception for me being the John Howe image of Paragon & Amber, which is very close to my mental image of those two characters, who are the best two in the trilogy in my opinion!

'The Mad Ship' is possibly my favourite book of all Robin Hobb's stories, I literally could not put it down! But no credit for me, all credit has to go to John Howe & the other artists, although Howe's depiction of Amber & Paragon and Vivacia & the serpent definitely stand out for me too :)

there's the John Howe cover art from the UK versions, the American cover art, and the new cover art by Jackie Morris for the re-released paperbacks and also some random scenery pics thrown in! There's lots of high quality fan art I could have used, but for this vid I thought I'd stick to the qualified cover artists.
