How does it indicate that the Meru bead has been reached, so it's time to turn back?

when you reach it, a small arrow icon appears onscreen (1:54) . this is the same arrow, whats indicate the direction when you start the app.

That means one cannot chant with his eyes closed. One has to keep watching the screen :(
