  • i should try to spin on the box too its easy just look the way u want to go.

  • you should put a rail

  • One remark - always wear a protective gear! Thanks for video, dude!

  • havent you ever heard of star fade? its called production values

  • How many times are you going to do the same thing in a row?

  • Im so freaking happy you made a tutorial. and did you freeze the box to the ground of just pack it down with snow?

  • @catsareyummy123 Just used snow. They are really sturdy.

  • @rmborders ok. two questions. were do you get that plastic stuff. and approximately how much does it cost?

  • @catsareyummy123 I got the top from usplastics and it cost around $120 or so for a 4x4 1/2 sheet of HDPE.

  • Do you think it would be a waste of time to connect the two? Btw... Great video!!

  • @BeaverCreekPatrol Thanks. I wouldn't connect them. It's nice to be able to separate them and change things up.

  • @rmborders dude thats so sick! you made me wanna live in the north so I can do this in my backyard:( ahha

  • where do you live now? and are you looking to get the money you put into it back?

  • @blackie1122 I live in the Kenosha WI area. I would sell both boxes for $300 total or $150 a piece.

  • would you ever sell these :)

  • @blackie1122 Yeah, I would. I am probably moving to CO. this year so I would sell these. They are a blast.

  • you dont even do the same trick 100 times in a row

  • OMG SOOOO JEALUS....

  • Where did you get the HDPE from??

  • how much did this project cost?

  • @MNSnowmotion Around $150 if I remember correctly. If I went with 1/4 inch HDPE instead of 1/2 inch (the top) it would have been a lot less.

  • i built my box a week ago. cant believe i had a snowstorm in october but not december. praying for snow soon. nice box.

  • @gmil81997 I hoping for snow too! :)

  • @gmil81997 i know i live in nh and want snow

  • @gmil81997 bro do you live in CT?

  • @NellyIsThatGuy I live in a small town in New York.

  • 0:31 the dog's like "i wanna try!"

  • @skittlzism He loves the snow. He actually jumped up on me a couple times. He is an awesome pup!!!!

  • Love the boxes, simple and sturdy

  • @TheGT01 Thx. Now we just need some snow!

  • sick setup man!

  • @Dylex6 Thanks.

  • you should watch this video yourself. look at your arms. get some more style

  • @KEV1N02Productions Working on it.

  • where did you get hthat scaffolding if i may ask. sorry you must get that a lot but i would really like to know

  • @c0c0cake I got my scaffold from a masonry company. I have seen scaffold at Menards and other local stores. You can also find it on Craigslist.

  • @rmborders thanks a ton

  • hey whats with the adds do you get paid to have them on your videos?

  • @RyanSmithSnowboardin I took that feature off. The ads are annoying. You shouldn't see any ad on any of my videos. I have never been paid for any video I have put out.

  • @rmborders oh okay i wasn't complaining i just thought if there advertising on our videos we should get paid right?

  • @RyanSmithSnowboardin I agree, if you have ads on your videos you should get paid. BTW, nice video. You have to throw some tricks on that box you built, It looks good!

  • @rmborders thanks ill remember to post a video soon once theres more snow to build in my area..

  • song?

  • @sanderflovolle The song is "Hello Hurricane" by Switchfoot!

  • great idea !

  • Does anyone else notice that he is only doing 4 tricks and replaying them over and over?

  • beautiful set up bro ... try building a little jump and airing over the little fence ... little tip to help get ur back side board slids alittle better and more stylish get ut board completly sideways to the box and look over ur left shoulder while sliding backwards (Y) keep up the good work make sum more features

  • @xthexxdeadxxx Thanks for the tips. Yeah, I am hoping to get more set up this year.

  • Hey man nice set up for sure. I was just wondering what i could use instead of HDPE Something either around the house or something cheap i can get at my local home depot Please reply :)

  • @thephantom1228 Hey man, there are a couple of things you can use. PVC, composite decking, plastic fence slats..... etc. I have seen all of these work and you can get them all local and they are inexpensive. Home Depot, Lowes and Menards has most this stuff. Make sure you always counter sink the screws. Hope this helps.

  • @rmborders thanks bro i actually just build the drop in and i used cardboard on the jib i did a board slide 180 pretty sickkk

  • i like the front side 180 grind pretty asoeme

  • This is pretty legit. I'm thinking about stacking snow onto my roof and using that to get speed. I live in the country with 5 acres so I'm hoping I can make a sweet box like that + more. Keep the vids coming on much your improving

  • @MyLifeAsLuis Boarding off the roof sounds like it would be a blast. I'll try to get another vid out later this year..... Those boxes really helped me. If you get it set and board off your roof, put a video out there of it. I would love to see it!

  • @rmborders I've only seen 1 video of a guy using his roof with snow stacked to the top to get speed. But he was trying to go off this big jump but he kept falling. Watching that inspired me to do the same but make jumps, boxes, rails, and tatical stuff like a sideways picknic table

  • @MyLifeAsLuis I used scaffolding and ran plywood with plastic lattice, then tossed some snow on it and it worked great. I really don't have that much room at my place. It wouldn't be hard to go off my roof as long as I make it between the deck rails!!! I don't get enough snow to stack in order to get speed. Your gonna get really good, really quick with all your doing!

  • @rmborders I'm already pretty good. I go to actual parks about every other week. But they're far and cost about 40 bucks for the entire day. But that would be awesome if you made yours in between your stairs.

  • @MyLifeAsLuis just shovel a quarter pipe it works good thats what i did lol first snowfall check my chanel to see it

  • @204SWAG That's not as fun though. i wanna get a lot of speed and be able to get a good run going

  • im thinking of making a box. I just learned how to grind last year.. so I figured a box would be good for me. for the top I heard you could use pvc piping? is tht true? its alot cheaper than HDPE. Im not worried about getting caught up on pvc since i learned how to 5050 on a fallen tree branch.. lol

  • @fogle6 Hey buddy. I am a fan of using whatever you can. Supposedly PVC doesn't slide as well as HDPE however, I have seen videos where it seems to work just fine (it is a high density plastic). It's a lot cheaper and easier to get your hands on. I've seen the tops of boxes out of PVC and 6 inch pipe rails of PVC. I say go with it and see what you think. Easy to make. Having your own stuff to practice on helps a ton. Good luck and let me know what you think of the PVC top.

  • @rmborders Thanks buddy! you blew my mind with such a fast reply! much apperciated! When or if we get snow where im at ill add my video to a response to show you the rail when its done!

  • nice boxes, i gotta make some, and bend your knees more, you'll feel what i mean..

  • @bartleta11 Thanks for the tip. I'm working on not being as stiff. Have fun with the boxes you make!

  • @greysen71 Plexi will crack real easy on ya. HDPE is what the top is made of. Same stuff they use at the jib parks. I used 1/2 in however, many people use 1/4 and say it works just as well. Super durable and slides really well. I wasn't able to find the top local so I ordered it on line. I have another video that goes into detail on what the boxes are made of. If you check that video out it will answer a lot of questions. Really easy to make and just a ton of fun. Hope this helps.

  • love this song thats a sick box

  • Wow it's cool to see you progress from the beginning to the end! Great Job! Shred On

  • @IRideGoofyFooted Thanks, it's is a work in progress for sure :)

  • nice!

  • I love switch foot and nice boarding

  • Switchfoot good choice :)

  • Nice!

  • lame

  • Nice:D

  • haha did you fall at 1:16 ?

  • @benkneejohn27 Not sure. Possible. I fell quite a bit the first couple times on these. Took a bit to get used to them. The approach is right between two railings too. They really are a ton of fun though.

  • how did you make them?

  • @SlappingPenguins10 I added the how to video. If you check out my "How to easily make Snowboarding Fun/JIb Boxes" you will see in detail how I put them together. Fairly easy and a ton of fun. Let me know if you have more questions.

  • I added a response video to answer some of the questions on what I used to make the boxes. Hope it helps.

  • sick vid man ima go make sum boxes right now

  • What is the white thing on top of the box and where can I buy them?

  • pretty sweet dude! keep up the good work and ull get better i just learned backflips lastyear in my backyard... stuff like this will get u good in no time!

  • where did u get the hdpe from Somebody PM me pleas!!!

  • @SneakyCustoms find a plastic store somewhere near you they should have it there thats where i got mine you can look at my vids i have the same stuff

  • you showd thesame boardslide clip 4 times in a row..

  • @joeysnow58 It was really the first cut I made with the flip. It was fun to put this together. The more I learn how to edit the better it will get.

  • kok si gniu

  • Why so stiff? bend your knees. other than that your pretty good. =)

  • @worstphobia I know.... I am workin on loosening up a bit. A buddy told me you get the best feed back by watching yourself and seeing what you are messing up. It does help. Thanks.

  • @rmborders yeah man i do that all the time and a lot of people do. it helps alot and you really do see what you need to work on. But good luck to you during the 2011-12 season! GO SHRED!

  • when u bought the HDPE did it come rolled up?

  • @cubsrule512 The HDPE came in a 4x4 solid sheet. It is 1/2 thick and can't be rolled. Super durable!

  • love the song

  • @cubsrule512 I really like Switchfoot. One of my favorite bands :)

  • @THATMADIRAQI Thanks, have fun!

  • @THATMADIRAQI If I remember correct it was was able to build both for around $200 total (about $100 a piece). If I used 1/4 inch instead of 1/2 HDPE it would have been a lot less. That includes everything. I looked online and found a comp. that makes boxes. The least expensive was around $1,600 for a short box without shipping. ILet me know if you have more questions. Thanks.

  • dang nice backflip

  • Respond to this video... :)

  • Looks really good it looks like it slides very well!

  • @Jon95McC Thanks... Yeah, it slides really well.

  • nice video

  • @hockeyman297 Thanks.

  • sick! really obvious progression from the beginning to the end! i should build something like this

  • @stenecl Thanks. You should build a box. They are a blast.

  • @rmborders ya i think i will, it just looks so fun!

  • @xXDaKoTa22Xx thx. I had separated both my shoulders on boxes in CO last year. Took me a bit to get back into it. Those boxes have helped me a ton. I should put out an updated vid. Thanks for watchin.

  • Hey nice job! What is the top of your boxes made out of

  • @drewykinz The top is a sheet of High-density polyethylene (HDPE).You can order it from US Plastics. Its 1/2 inch thick.

  • nice box but that take off looks skechy

  • @Superstar5241995 Yeah, I like the boxes a lot. Getting up on the scaffolding and then going between the railing for the approach is not ideal.

  • You are pretty good! Looks like a lot of fun. Keep it up :-)

  • oh and nice 180s on too

  • @JRodjan Thanks man.

  • Those boxes are so nicely built! you got that noseslide on lock man, nice frontboards too

  • @JRodjan Thanks. Those boxes are gonna help me a ton!
