abusive parents certainly make one's childhood a misery. and if that continues into early teens, that could potentially alter the personlity of the adolescent. he/she will suffer from lack of selfesteem, confusion, revolting feelings etc. in such circumstances these traits become a sort of permanent unless timely help comes from family or close friends. i think MJ must have suffered such a terrible thing in childhood that he couldn't grow out of 'coz he couldn't receive any help from anywhere.

abusive parents certainly make one's childhood a misery. and if that continues into early teens, that could potentially alter the personlity of the adolescent. he/she will suffer from lack of selfesteem, confusion, revolting feelings etc. in such circumstances these traits become a sort of permanent unless timely help comes from family or close friends. i think MJ must have suffered such a terrible thing in childhood that he couldn't grow out of 'coz he couldn't receive any help from anywhere.

There is nothing wrong with physical punishment towards a child. i.e. spanking, or verbal punishment. However I believe it is totally another story if they're getting whipped with iron cords and extension cords in the face, back and wherever else on their body while being nude for missing notes and dance steps. A father who always beats his child probably could care less about him. If he loved his kid, he wouldn't always hit him. Maybe Joe was a greedy prick. Think about that. Sure he feels bad, but I don't see that he has much love for him.

Oh please! He isn't grieving! He's already got big plans to make Michael's children into the Jackson three! If he loved Michael so much why did he treat Michael like shit all his life? This just changed the whole game for me cuz at the awards which i watched again last night he didnt seem sad and i really wanted to know how he felt but he made me mad at 13 sec. wen he said ITS A GOOD THING!!!!! then said its TOO BAD!! no remorse no sadness no nothing NO WONDER THEY SENT JANET AS BACK UP TO LET THE PUBLIC KNOW HOW THEY REALLY FELT!!! Joe Jackson is a monster. He's fucking smiling and saying "too bad that my brilliant, gifted, genius son has died." You don't give a damn. He used to beat and whip and terrorize his talented kids. He sat in a corner with a belt or a cane or whatever and beat them if they didn't do it right. And he knew they were talented!! No wonder he's not included in MJ's will.

MJ loved Joe and forgave him for whatever he did to him as a child. Joe doesn't have to cry on camera to show that he loves his son or that he is mourning him. MJ loved his father and no one should place judgments, you don't know Michael and you don't know his family. When your not judging MJ your judging his family, what's wrong with you people.

It's Joe Jackson. We all know his background. I'd feel for Joe if he wasn't talking about turning Michael's kids into the Jackson three. And if he loved Michael so much why didn't he tell Michael sooner? Well I guess we're all a little guitly of that. Some people anyway. Waiting to til people how they feel at the last minute. I feel horrible for Michael's kids but I don't really feel all that bad for Joe. Sorry.

Michael could have had it worse. Imagine having Ike Turner as your father. Now that man was the devil. He beat Tina, used her as as an ash tray, burning her with cigarettes, and probably would have kiled her.
Joe Jackson is a product of his time. His parents probably whooped him, and so on. Going back generations. Not saying it is right, its just what it was.

Good Lord, the people in this forum should show respect toward Joe Jackson.I think Michael would be upset if he had the capability of seeing or hearing what people are saying about his father.His father meant well and Michael loved him.
