Think about it, there are thousands of different bags and each thick or thin, I was able to snag a few passes with my purse but if I kept it in it's case it wouldn't pick up the display models.Who knows... maybe there are things the signals can't pass through?

I bought mine in Australia (I live in New Zealand), and I set my streetpass greeting to 'pfft Aussies', and I walked around Pacific Fair (In the Gold Coast) and I got a Mii lol.

But no one in NZ ever streetpasses. :(

streetpass is pointless, noone else owns a 3ds or there isnt nearly enough of them in circulation for it to actually work. Plus noone leaves streetpass on, it eats too much battery on a console that has a terrible battery life. Nintendo really failed on this one. Honestly I live in a village in northern Ireland, even in the city I would be surprised to find any miis, nintnedo what were you thinking it aint going to work at all for me!?!

@jamm132 I'm in EXACTLY the same situation. I brought it everywhere except some place where I stayed for five nights. It didn't really matter because nobody there had one. I went to the Giant's Causeway a few days ago and didn't realize something. I'd changed the region on the 3DS and had FORGOTTEN TO ACCEPT THE AGREEMENT. STREETPASS≠USED. Someone who came with me said that if anyone had 3DSes, they'd be taking 3D photos and nobody was taking photos. Even then, I'd be shocked if no-one had one.
