This game contains no ending. There are infinite missions. Randomly generated. No story, no final boss. Nothing in the US version. Sega confirmed it.

Be glad that tehy aren´t fighting tanks with swords. They take the real life way of fighting tanks with lances. Because only lances are effektive against cavalery (and that´s what tanks are). Or maybe not...
