I wish Tiesto was still making trance, but it's good that he's experimenting. I still like his new stuff just not as much. But until I hear a track of his that catches my fancy as much as they used to, it's all Armin and Above & Beyond, but I'm not sure if they would count as replacements considering their style is so much different from Armin and Tiesto.

His adagio for strings missed about four/thirds of the entire strophe. Probably to complicated for him. Instead of leaving it alone, seeing as a proper techno rendition of that modern classical tune was already make during the 90's, he decided to only sample the first couple of bars and fruityloop that together pulling the entire thing out of context, making it sound like a cheap ringtone.

@articpolrfc @despehochi ... Have you wasters even heard the latest ISOS compilation? Did you hear ISOS 7? I suggest you go back and listen to ISOS 7, then listen to Kaleidoscope, and then say that it would have been the same if Tiësto had done it this time round. Tiësto pretty much created Durand as his replacement, probably without realising. ISOS 8 is an amazing compilation. It's about the music, not the name.

@articpolrfc Yeah, totally. I think some of the Kaleidoscope tracks are great, but as an album it just didn't do it for me like Just Be or EOL did.  I owe most of my trance collection to Tiësto, like, artists I've found because of him, I just don't like what he's doing at the moment. Musically it's not *too* bad - I like electro, but it just smacks of sell out, unfortunately, and it's just not him. ISOS 7 was unreal, so were his albums, which is why it's a shame he's moved on.

Yes, it's a shame he separated from Black Hole. But he's changed. I'm glad he didn't mix ISOS this year, I mean think about it. These classics are what really got me into trance... this will *most likely* be the last album of his I'll buy. Ever since he became popular in the US, his music has sucked. I can't believe Tiesto actually has the guts to put his name on his Kaleidoscope album... I guess he's unfortunately caught Oakenfold syndrome :S

While i agree he should have stuck to his old style......He still one of the greatest and hes just progressing through his sound nothing wrong with that.....Never the less he gains new fans everyday and Im pretty sure they like his new and old style....and as for armin being king of trance, its true he is good and stuff but he is the second king...the second to do stuff....NO one remembers second....They always remember who was first =) (in my opinion)

I loved the Magik series and early In search of Sunrises, the latest albums have been something totally different. Every artist likes to experiment, I just hope he goes back to his roots someday - because that's when he was at his best.
