Southwestern art is very... Indian (Native American Indian)

That is most likely an Indian girl she is painting. Indians used natural things for art and wore natural things... such as feathers.

It's not as "random" as you would like to believe...it is actually well thought out. Putting 'Indian' art on a feather is pretty ingenious and would look great in a home where Native things are the main decor.
