You can it every night here in the Philippines. Its also an approdiciac so eating much may make you feel the urge. You may put salt or vinegar that has chilis so it could taste spicy. Usually it shouldn't be looked at when you eat it. Because it does not look so good. But the taste isn't that bad coz its like eating scrabbled egg with a embryo. Hehe

I think the guy on the left described the liquid part the best - that it tastes like chicken soup...which it does. And I loved how he just ate the balut without any type of disgust. For me, if you can drink a shot of tequila with a live earthworm, or eat a piece of bloody rare steak, then you should be able to eat balut. After all, it is cooked, and it's a great source of unadulterated protein.

1. Ready the beer

2. Make sure it is cooked..hehehe

3. Put salt and vinegar on it to make the soup tastier.

4. You dont' eat the white hard part...unless your the dog. Oh..it's for our dog..he loves it.

5. Put salt before putting in your mouth...

How long did you boil the eggs? You have to boil them for at least 10 minutes to fully cook the embryo. The juice does taste like chicken soup though.
