It was a good video, but he needed to stop pushing so much of his faith upon her. She welcomed him to speak with her until it became an issue of God or Goddess. The labyrinth is open to anyone willing to relax, let go, and to help get rid of the stress we all deal with. Also, all the Christian celebrations(like christmas and easter)at one point were pagan. Oh boy. Up until 16 minutes I was very impressed with both of these people, but then the guy kinda started preaching at the poor girl. She handled it very well, though. I liked the first part better, when it was more of a dialogue / interview, and less of an attempted conversion / a sermon. For real. I love her last little bit that she says. Exactly how I feel.

It seems to me like this woman was just trying to explain some of the basics of her faith, but the "interviewer" was primarily trying to give her the gospel. If he'd been listening, he would have realized that the labyrinth isn't some mystical pagan thing, but just a tool used for concentration, combining repetitive motion with intense concentration on a thought.

In a way, both breninarian and Pomegranate are right, because the video is made up of 2 halves. The 1st half is a genuine interview while the 2nd half was what Christians call "witnessing".
I guess I was disappointed because this video makes it look like the questions at the beginning were just an excuse to "witness" at the end, like the interviewer wasn't really interested in learning anything, just getting his point across.
In the dead sea scrolls there is NOTHING written about Jesus (to the chagrin of the Christian community). So even though they were written or dated around that time, they prove nothing for Christianity. If Christianity wants to build a religion on the back of another (Judaism) perhaps Christians should learn about Judaism from Jews - they might find some things that will truly shock them.
For Pagan viewers of this, we really need to not be so judgmental. They titled this "intruders," and some people did refer to them as so. They were invited because the point of PPD is to share and learn and dispel misinformation. Let's stop the Christian bashing, it does us an injustice.

I understand what you're saying. My question is - are they invited to learn about Paganism? Or are they invited to proselytize? There is a broad difference between those two things. Most Pagans are already well familiar with Christianity (it's virtually impossible not to be in the US). Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Christians regarding Paganism. This man had an opportunity to learn.. however, he did not seem to have the inclination.
Proselytizing is a different matter. They can be asked to leave for that if it becomes a problem. For this event, we had black ribbons for those who did not wish to be on camera at all. These people respected that and were, from my interaction with them, fairly respectful.
So what he was doing was not considered proselytizing? I was not there, but from the looks of this video (and others from the same about the same) have most certainly come across as proselytizing to me. I can say that I would be offended if approached in this way at a place where I was to feel safe in my own religious beliefs. Christians take every opportunity to proselytize - why can there not be these few safe places where we would not have to deal with it?
This was an interview scheduled months ahead of time. They didn't go around PPD doing this. Kiki was prepared for this. If they offended her she would have said to stop.
I had a minor run in with one of them at PPD #1, but after that they have been respectful every time I've seen them (several times around town). One of them even jokes with me each time I see her about wanting me to do a love spell for her (I explained the ethics of that to her, but it remains a good natured joke with us).

She answered honestly and was genuine and I though not a Wiccan, love and respect Wiccans. I don't condemn them or try to make them appear to be somehow displeasing God. She has genuine love in her heart. I felt it but not so much with the one questioning her. He was just after making a point about his belief system being superior.

I found it amusing how he did far more preaching than question asking, and to a woman who WAS a Christian, as if her being Pagan meant she didn't understand XD
There were times he didn't even ASK a question.
He'd talk for fifteen minutes and then when she tried to come up with something to say in response to teach him about her OWN religion, he'd quickly start preaching again to Disprove before she could found her belief.

It was a good video, but he needed to stop pushing so much of his faith upon her. She welcomed him to speak with her until it became an issue of God or Goddess. The labyrinth is open to anyone willing to relax, let go, and to help get rid of the stress we all deal with. Also, all the Christian celebrations(like christmas and easter)at one point were pagan. I do give Kiki credit for not becoming angred by the preaching like some may have.But people of all faiths should respect one another.

Oh boy. Up until 16 minutes I was very impressed with both of these people, but then the guy kinda started preaching at the poor girl. She handled it very well, though. I liked the first part better, when it was more of a dialogue / interview, and less of an attempted conversion / a sermon. For real. I love her last little bit that she says. Exactly how I feel.

It seems to me like this woman was just trying to explain some of the basics of her faith, but the "interviewer" was primarily trying to give her the gospel. If he'd been listening, he would have realized that the labyrinth isn't some mystical pagan thing, but just a tool used for concentration, combining repetitive motion with intense concentration on a thought.

In a way, both breninarian and Pomegranate are right, because the video is made up of 2 halves. The 1st half is a genuine interview while the 2nd half was what Christians call "witnessing".
I guess I was disappointed because this video makes it look like the questions at the beginning were just an excuse to "witness" at the end, like the interviewer wasn't really interested in learning anything, just getting his point across.

In the dead sea scrolls there is NOTHING written about Jesus (to the chagrin of the Christian community). So even though they were written or dated around that time, they prove nothing for Christianity. If Christianity wants to build a religion on the back of another (Judaism) perhaps Christians should learn about Judaism from Jews - they might find some things that will truly shock them.

For Pagan viewers of this, we really need to not be so judgmental. They titled this "intruders," and some people did refer to them as so. They were invited because the point of PPD is to share and learn and dispel misinformation. Let's stop the Christian bashing, it does us an injustice.
Repentandtrust, you may not agree with us, but I hope you've come to understand us better. We can be different and still respect each other, and each other's beliefs.

I understand what you're saying. My question is - are they invited to learn about Paganism? Or are they invited to proselytize? There is a broad difference between those two things. Most Pagans are already well familiar with Christianity (it's virtually impossible not to be in the US). Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Christians regarding Paganism. This man had an opportunity to learn.. however, he did not seem to have the inclination.

Proselytizing is a different matter. They can be asked to leave for that if it becomes a problem. For this event, we had black ribbons for those who did not wish to be on camera at all. These people respected that and were, from my interaction with them, fairly respectful.

So what he was doing was not considered proselytizing? I was not there, but from the looks of this video (and others from the same about the same) have most certainly come across as proselytizing to me. I can say that I would be offended if approached in this way at a place where I was to feel safe in my own religious beliefs. Christians take every opportunity to proselytize - why can there not be these few safe places where we would not have to deal with it?

This was an interview scheduled months ahead of time. They didn't go around PPD doing this. Kiki was prepared for this. If they offended her she would have said to stop.
I had a minor run in with one of them at PPD #1, but after that they have been respectful every time I've seen them (several times around town). One of them even jokes with me each time I see her about wanting me to do a love spell for her (I explained the ethics of that to her, but it remains a good natured joke with us).

first of all, i think that before anyone should comment on another's appearance, especially in a negative way, they should look at themselves in a mirror, and ask themselves if they're one to talk. plus everyone is beautiful in they're own special way. her attitude and personality is wut's truly beautiful. while this dillhole is interogating her, i admire her for keeping her cool!

That doesn't make the bible true because someone could have written a story like the oddessy ,for instance, hundreds of years ago and tell it too someone and they tell their children and so on and it be written down again.......does that make that story true.....no its still a story

This woman handles herself so well. Even through his condecending questions and preaching. But even he can realize that even though his religion is completely against him even talking to her she is a wonderful person and i wish more christians were like that.

Out of that entire 30 minutes she only got to talk about the festival for maybe 5 mins at the most.
He was there so we could hear her explain about the labyrinth, not to preach to her. I'm surprized anyone could have that much patients. Its sad that she had to put up with that. Its just insulting.

Yes MCL those things are common knowledge, researched or not. You've all studied Mythology in high school,(wasn't that fanciful?) - days of the week and planets named after false gods - because the world was once rank with idolatry. Little children will enjoy their candy and presents and twinkling lights and pretty songs as visions of sugar plums dance in their heads - what's innocence to you?

YOU HAVE NO PROOF!! that those scrolls were written by Jesus, did you see them yourself no! and the people in charge of putting these scriptures out pick & choose what they want people to see so no! it doesnt prove your right. and its very rude of you to preach when she invited you there to show that the pagan community has nothing against other beliefs or people and just want to be a part of the community and educate others and show theyre not evil.

theyre not trying to be christian that is not their religion so you telling them about god means nothing just like telling a jewish person that jesus is the messiah wouldnt mean anything to them. the pagan religion has been around long before christianity and theyre not trying to copy christians. why dont you leave people be if they feel in their heart that they believe in god and jesus they will no one can bully someone into a belief.
