that bird should be flying free, not having some retard making fun of it and other retards from the internet making stupid harry potter jokes on it. you're all idiots.
poor thing... feet tied together and flight feathers cut..=( ..its a really beatiful animal..and should get at least a bit more freedom to fly and stuff..=/
Actually, its feet aren't tied together. Those are the Jessies that allow the bird to be tied to a perch so it'll sit nice and quiet when on display for visitors to the falconry centre.
Nope. This is at the Fuji Gardens and Birds park. The birds are all either rescues or the offspring of rescues (some imported). The birds can fly free, even hunt any prey birds that are dumb enough to come into the park. They know when it's presentation time, though, and they'll come right to their respective handlers. The only alteration these birds get is a little claw filing for the ones they let perch on visitors, and even that is just by putting emory paper on their perches.
I don't think this is Fuji Garden (that place has its own channel here on youtube), the Kanji in the name doesn't match up.
Still, I really like these raptor vids from these Japanese aviaries, and I'd like to see FujiGarden post up more vids of its Milky Eagle Owl and Snowy Owls in the future. They're beautiful.
The kanji don't match because the title is "snowy owl goes walking". The kanji for Fuji Gardens is "富士国際花園". If you search for this on an open engine (or here in YouTube) you'll get a lot more that what's available on FujiGardens' own channel. The park is very popular, and lots of people have their own clips to share.
You might enjoy bubohiko's channel here; he raised a few of the owls at the garden, and continues to tame owls for zoos, parks, and falconers.
Oh, wait, I see what you mean, sorry. Yes, this is Kobe Kachouen, not Fuji Gardens. The two are related, though. I think Fuji has more raptors, and Kobe has more tropical birds. I have not been to Kobe Kachouen yet. ;_;
Yes, I've talked to bubohiko, but because I can't read Japanese, I don't know which of owls he's trained are at Fuji Gardens. I do like ツララ (Tsurara) the Snowy Owl and the Milky Eagle Owl at Fuji Gardens though.
The following link shows the only Milky Eagle Owl I've seen there.
