anybody who says the person is a dick obviously knows nothing about fishing. Before they even shot the fish once you can look at the fish and see that there was something wrong with it. First of all the coloring of the fish is wayyyy brighter than it should be, and that usually happens when the fish is extremely stressed out, aka Dying. use blow gun or some barrel for fishing. when i fishing at home i use blow gun to kill them. the dart getting throw the fish and down into the ground so the fish is cautched.. it want to escape but it cant.use blowgun so you not need to pump up your airgun..i have a homemade air rifle.it is mutch mutch more powerfuller than blowgun.. the thing is it work to pump up it every time to shoot.. nice video you made..XD

At the hatchery i worked at years ago we used to cull with a "frog sticker" rigged like a Hawaiian sling. Surgical tubing + 10' fiberglass rod + 3 pronged barbed frog sticker = easy dead fish with less suffering. And what about all the lead contaminates from the pellets? thanks for the video anyways.

Dude, I am an ADULT...DUDETTE! Yes I am a woman. I am college educated and was culling fish at college run fish hatchery. As a student I was given PERMISSION to do so. When they are in the tail ditch they are nearly impossible to net or crowd. A gun was the next best option. I wouldn't be posting a video if it was incriminating or illegal. This film was shot over two years ago and I have long since moved on with my life. I suggest you do the same

The thing you retards below me need to understand is that if you own a fish farm (or any farm) you have to own healthy livestock. If you have a bunch of sick fish in hatchery you will only end up with more sick fish, thus ruining the well being of them as a whole in the hatchery. Since this is not a natural habitat to fish nature can not take it's course and ween out the problem by itself so people have to do it.

If you have ever tried to net a fish you would know it is hard. When the fish are in the tail ditch 5 ft deep and 15 ft accross it can be rather difficult. Shooting them is a better method, esspecially since you shouldn't get in a raceway when there is no one around, as it is dangerous. I was using lead free pellets as well. You choose a hammer or a pellet...

Looks like you need to get a break barrel air rifle, they shoot at around 1000-1400 fps (yours is probably around 750-850) and there is no pumping...(spring instead of pneumatic) get 'em with one shot.
