Hi I have a compaq presario computer with only 1.8ghz. If I get this CPU would it run smooth with good gps without buying out things?

DX9 and DX10 comes with Windows, DX9 is for windows XP and DX10 is for vista and the new DX11 is for windows 7

i found a cool thing in crysis.

Is you put the objects quality to LOW ,you will get a lot of FPS.

And can put the physisc to LOW too if you want .

I am running the crysis with all on very high ,but just the OBJECTS quality on low.

i can get around to 50FPS on normal

resolution 1280x1024 no aa. But i normaly put 2 aa and i can run 47 fps.

Ive never tried recording with fraps under 3.6GHZ sorry. but i think it would be a bit slower, fraps seems to kill my FPS with CPU at 3.6ghz.

Fraps kills your FPS cause you set it at '30fps' or '50fps' or '60fps' you could set it at 90fps even, but then the file sizes would be extreme + your harddrive gets to work alot more.

FRAPS likes munching CPU. You'll get an FPS boost when not recording.

Get an ATI RADEON 4870. But make it the 1gig Version. Or alternatively get the overclocked version which would be better known as the 4890.

Or if you can afford it get 2 4870's or the 4870x2 Video Card.

Try overclock your CPU darkcape89, but make sure your cooling is good because if you fry your CPU that won't be my fault.
