alex wright the single most attention worthy wrestler in wcw in the mid 90s. had it not been for injury, which ended his wrestling career, andthe utterly ridiculous morphing of his ring persona into berlyn, he might have surpassed in popularity some of the goons who went on to be superstars. he certainly surpassed them in talent.
@japanpro1 Ummm, to my knowledge, no injury ended his career. he did suffer a concussion in '98 and was out for a few months, but he came back from that later in '98 and wrestled for wcw until it was bought by the wwf/wwe. so Im not sure what injury you are referring to...
Aside from the goofy dances and the horrible and obvious gimmicks (he's german, let's make him some sort of paranazi american hater and call him berlyn), Wright was a class wrestler. Too bad he never was taken too seriously to recieve a bigger push.
