I've owned the Genesis for 1 month. I've ridden in BMWs, Mercedes, Lexus, Infinitis, Acuras, VWs, and Volvos. Admittedly the European cars have stiffer handling & more sporty performance feel so if you're looking for this, the Genesis is not for you. But for you critics who think the Genesis is not as smooth as Lexus, Infiniti, or Acura-you are delusional. Smoothness of ride & quietness of cabin are on par with the Japanese competitors. I dare you to take a blindfolded ride to prove my point

genesis is like a baby version of new hyundai equus,,very luxurious car,,
of course, it is much better than lexus,bmw, mercedes, etc in my opinion..
in korea, it already came out for $95,000 above. It might come out to US by end of 2009 for around 45-55k USD. Pretty decent price for a very luxuroious car, i mean think about it, other luxury brands costs bunch to buy the car part and fixt it whereas hyundai parts are not that much and convinent. =) check out new hyundai equus..you wont regret..

never buy BMW or Benz constant service visits and really big headache no quality at all. You see BMW never talks about quality and reliability b/c BMW know that they do not sell quality but sell tons of problems both electronical and mechanical Hyundai Genesis is the BEST!!!

I'm sure Mercedes put a copyright on their design and gives a sh!t if a company that doesn't even compete with their kind of cars makes a car that looks remotely like a merc.
You haven't answered my question anyway. So what if it looks similar to Mercedes? IMO, it doesn't. And if it does, that has nothing to do with the value and quality, which is outstanding for its pricing.

i have driven the genesis and lexus GS350, what i can say is 40K USD genesis owned 60K Lexus GS for evertything

many automakers offered plans to help US automakers
but... Korean didn't.
Have Korean worried about the other countries? nah.
you know Korean government didn't donate the amount Korean offered at 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake.
they discounted the donation.
Korean Hyundai donated only ALA where Hyundai has its plant in 2005 Katrina hurricane.
Korean use their money for their benefit.
