When I started listening and reading the biography of Keith Green his music does influence my childhood. Since I was growing up I never stop listening to every music in my heart. It does changed. It was during the time Before I had christ in my heart and it never changes
Keith Green's music is nothing short of sanctified genius. I haven't heard Any other artist put it down like he does. I mean REALLY!! True ministry!!! Praise the Lord for such boldness!
Te reason i know his faith was pure is solely this. HIs musical talent surpasses most mainstream "secular" artists he could of made it big mainstream but he rolled with what he believed in.... got to respect that.

Keith Green is the best! He was a Jewish man who came to His Messiah Yeshua. The first time I saw him was on the 700 Club around 1979. I went out and bought his cassette (LOL) no CD's then.
I loved his music. He played the piano and wrote all His songs and he was on fire for the Lord. Unfortunately, He was killed in a plane crash with a couple of his children at a very young age. He went home with His Lord but left his wonderful, uplifting music here for the body of Christ our Lord..

I gotta egmit the debate going on here interests me. But I also think that we shouldn't focus to hardly on what will happen after death. I mean, we already know that God has a place for his people, and a place for those who chose not to follow him. I think it's more important that we focus on spreading the message to all those who don't already know it, or who don't beleive. what it is is that some translation say pass away. But the greek words are translated regenerate not totally destroy. So it appears the earth will be made new. The earth as we know it. Either way its new because remember this earth is fallen and the whole creation groans for redemption from the curse of sin. So it needs to be made new like the original plan.
The dead in Christ shall rise, then we which remain shall be caught up with Him. Scripture says the earth will burn away. Heaven is not coming to earth.
Can we take this through scripture, in light of the TRUTH? If we read scripture we will find the answers. I can give you a lot of them but I am not sure if you REALLY want the truth or not.
The bible talks about a new heaven, and a new earth...... There are countless scriptures on how God is coming back TO EARTH.
Now why would you go a assume that I don't want the truth? The only thing I have a hard time with is people who are not open to the fact that they might be wrong and instead accuse others of doing so. I agree, God is coming back to earth, that is for the soul purpose of taking us back with Him and judging the wicked, destroying earth and creating a new one. Heres the thing, you are both right. Heaven is a place. The bible also is clear the earth will never pass away. Whoa, yes it does say that it will be refinished so to speak. But the new jerusalem comes down from out of heaven. The 1000 years is hear on earth then a new heaven and earth.
So if you die now you WILL go to heaven a real place. absent from body present with the Lord. When the new heaven and earth are done you can go to both because both will exist.

Don't Ever give up on your parents. i came into my parents house sharing this new Jesus that i had found, all my family got saved but my father, he told me get out of his house with the bible. i would not stop, finaly after 20 years my father asked Jesus into his life. he passed away 2 years later. If you lift Jesus up in your whole life he said i will draw all men unto me. Be still and know He is God and will never leave you or forsake you

There are a lot of great christian musicians. But I've always said to my friends that Keith's music is the kind of music that God would allow in heaven. Its truth, and he means every note every word. Some so called christian singers don't even mention Jesus in their songs. Keith's music is truly music worthy of God's ears.
i am totally with you, infact in a interview with keith, he was asked: what do you see in the future for christian music? his reply: I think most will be in it for the money... was he in-touch with Jesus or what?

Yes, I think they did have a conversion experience and this song had a big part in it too, apparently. Keith used to play this for them whenever he visited the family home and they got so fed up with him they became Buddhists.
Wow. I love this song! It's easily one of my favorites. I never get tired of listening to Keith Green's music. I grew up listening to him. My mom had all of his vinyl records. She would play them nearly every day on our gigantic floor stereo. When cassette tape became popular, we dubbed all the records to tape so we could listen to Keith in the car. His music, and the Lord's urging, directly inspired me to learn piano at age 16, and I've been playing and singing Keith's music ever since.

You are right Maureenbopp! we turn to focus much on church group than the conditions of our hearts! it is so sad!There are many who belong to the so-called churches who know better but our hearts are so dark...and there are others who don't but their hearts are much better !Sometimes IThis i failed to understand! just think about The Lord Jesus when He said pharisees travel a long distance to convert a soul just to make it double a son of hell than themselves! you have good reason to be concerned for their eternal well being. it's true, there are a FEW Christians in the catholic cult, which is what it is, but they are few and far between.. they place their hope in their good deeds and in the queen of heaven to intercede for them. that's not Christianity. let them know how you feel. give them the truth about hell. they;'ll probably turn you away. but maybe not. try not to bring it up if they reject it. pray 4 them. my folks are the same

I gotta egmit the debate going on here interests me. But I also think that we shouldn't focus to hardly on what will happen after death. I mean, we already know that God has a place for his people, and a place for those who chose not to follow him. I think it's more important that we focus on spreading the message to all those who don't already know it, or who don't beleive. When we get there, it'll be really awesome because we will actually get to see God and worship him. Until then, let's keep

what it is is that some translation say pass away. But the greek words are translated regenerate not totally destroy. So it appears the earth will be made new. The earth as we know it. Either way its new because remember this earth is fallen and the whole creation groans for redemption from the curse of sin. So it needs to be made new like the original plan.

The dead in Christ shall rise, then we which remain shall be caught up with Him. Scripture says the earth will burn away. Heaven is not coming to earth.

The bible talks about a new heaven, and a new earth...... There are countless scriptures on how God is coming back TO EARTH.

Now why would you go a assume that I don't want the truth? The only thing I have a hard time with is people who are not open to the fact that they might be wrong and instead accuse others of doing so. I agree, God is coming back to earth, that is for the soul purpose of taking us back with Him and judging the wicked, destroying earth and creating a new one. Why did Jesus tell the criminal on the cross, today you will be in paradise? Are you a Jehovah's Witness?

I reckon the Gospel must be simple so that everyone who wants to find out can...ie so that intellect or a lack thereof can be no barrier to the seekers...in other words, Pilgrim and Shgadwa get a life and stop trying to show off how much you have read and how well you have interpreted.
Keith Green loved the Lord and was so blessed to share it all.

Heres the thing, you are both right. Heaven is a place. The bible also is clear the earth will never pass away. Whoa, yes it does say that it will be refinished so to speak. But the new jerusalem comes down from out of heaven. The 1000 years is hear on earth then a new heaven and earth.
So if you die now you WILL go to heaven a real place. absent from body present with the Lord. When the new heaven and earth are done you can go to both because both will exist.

An artist who seemingly has been touched by God is a rare thing. Keith was the essence of someone who truly had the annointing of God on his life. His music is the "realest" that I have ever heard! What a blessing he has been in so many lives!

Don't Ever give up on your parents. i came into my parents house sharing this new Jesus that i had found, all my family got saved but my father, he told me get out of his house with the bible. i would not stop, finaly after 20 years my father asked Jesus into his life. he passed away 2 years later. If you lift Jesus up in your whole life he said i will draw all men unto me. Be still and know He is God and will never leave you or forsake you

There are a lot of great christian musicians. But I've always said to my friends that Keith's music is the kind of music that God would allow in heaven. Its truth, and he means every note every word. Some so called christian singers don't even mention Jesus in their songs. Keith's music is truly music worthy of God's ears.

Yes part of why I love him is because of the music, but, It's knowing everything about Keith's story, i've read Melody's book, no compromise, and his music is truly how Christian music should be. From the heart, to feed the soul, and to praise Christ Jesus. Thats what its all about. This is why I feel his music is the kind of music that could be played in the presence of a Holy God.

Yes, I think they did have a conversion experience and this song had a big part in it too, apparently. Keith used to play this for them whenever he visited the family home and they got so fed up with him they became Buddhists.

Wow. I love this song! It's easily one of my favorites. I never get tired of listening to Keith Green's music. I grew up listening to him. My mom had all of his vinyl records. She would play them nearly every day on our gigantic floor stereo. When cassette tape became popular, we dubbed all the records to tape so we could listen to Keith in the car. His music, and the Lord's urging, directly inspired me to learn piano at age 16, and I've been playing and singing Keith's music ever since.
