  • edge came

  • I really don't understand how their faces didn't melt once he started playing that.

  • can you imagine being in the presence of Jimmy Page watching him play that song?

    MIND BLOWING!!

  • The only thing the edge and jack are thinking is "Hooollly Fuck"

  • That was the best part of that movie. To see the two younger guitarist instantly transformed into starry-eyed kids. Jack White's cockiness is instantly washed away when Page plays a little riff he wrote some years back...

  • jack white is like yeah i like to play shitty out of tune guitars and jimmy is like fuck tht i play bitchin guitars, in tune, and melt bitch's faces

  • jimmy page flying on the sky and jack white and the edge looking like fishes XD

  • The wizard is casting his spell. :D

  • Might as well quit playing music after that.

  • @forevertobeginning

If it were me i'd be more inspired personally, more inspired to do something like that or something of my own thats just as creative.

  • dude, jack white got the largest hardon from that

  • The Edge and Jack White look star struck.lol Very cool.

  • Yeh, that's right Edge, you STAND UP when the gospel is preached from the guitar.

  • Just look at Jack's face at the end, priceless!!

  • I'd love to see a sequel to this film, with Page facing off against some of his true peers - people like Keith Richards, Blackmore, or Pete Townsend. But, we all know those people would likely have trouble being in the same room with each other; rivalries going on for decades.

  • @Eszpresszo LOL! Yeah, sure.

"It Might Get Loud 2: This Time, Only ONE Shall Survive"

  • @Eszpresszo there was enough of everything for everyone.....flower power

  • Axl Rose once said that this riff was the "sexiest riff in rock and roll". That's what hard rock lacks today. It's all about death and hatred. What a bunch of dorks. I mean when you got bands called Dying Fetus, Hatebreed, and Kill Your Mother Then Eat Her Brains, what does this say about their artistic mind set? Could you imagine icons like Beck, Clapton, Page, McCartney, Townshend, the Edge, Plant, Gilmour, Stewart or any of them playing in a band with a name like that?

  • @smithbonz

....Do you have any idea how many songs by Pink Floyd, The Edge, Paul McCartney and Clapton are about death?

Pink Floyd = Wish you Were here, obvious.

Paul McCartney = He was in The Beatles...that is all.

The Edge = Bloody Sunday? the War album?

Clapton = Tears in Heaven? ever heard that one? the one about the two year old falling out of a window, fucking depressing song, artists today have NOTHING on these guys when it comes to death songs.

  • @CCRockit Tears in heaven is about gravity you idiot

  • @curlymolly70

Excuse me, it was about Eric's four year old son, look it up.

  • get down jimmy..

  • In the presence of a God of Rock! How awesome would that be?

  • I didn't even have to watch the video...I just clicked LIKE!

  • jack white and the edge are sitting there thinking to them selves were the luckiest guys in the world

  • sexiest riff ever for sure

  • 2 great guitarists sitting at the throne of the master.....

  • master page!!!!

  • Great *_*

  • Great movie, inspires me to play even more everytime I see it

  • Oh man. I love how classic Led Zep is but sometimes I really wish these songs could re-recorded! The high resolution sound makes it a CRAZY, hair raising experience.

  • "Forgive us lord, for we are not worthy to be in your presence"

  • Who the hell are the 2 morons?

  • @slashrm90 ... hmkay i can understand that you call the edge a moron but srsly, jack white..? he's like the son of jimmy page lolol

  • @droesable I don't think that Jack White is on the same planet with Page when it comes to versatility. I will say that Jack White plays with guts, is not at all predictable and exciting to listen to. These are qualities that I'm sure impress Mr. Page. I watched It Might get loud and I thought it was pretty funny that "Edge" has 28 buttons to get the same sound..

  • I't's a great riff but is this his original riff or did he steal it? and another thing if any other guitarist played exactly what Page just did other guitar players would either be saying "you messed up there" or "that's not right" God Jimmy you're just so very sloppy

  • @rjj1965 You're a dumbass..

  • Very sexual rhythm. Especially with the way Jimmy moves his hips.

  • My little dog has that look on her face when I've got a piece of chicken in my hand!

  • I don't care if you acknowledge... Pagey's getting into Heaven for that one!

  • No tough guy here bro,You need to be careful of who's on the other end of the computer,WTF have you done in your meek 25 yrs? And did I mention I also have been playing drums and bass for over 30 years, while you were shitting yourself and nursing on a teet I was already in a band playing out,so do yourself a favor and shut YOUR rookie mouth when the adults are talking, you just mite not put your foot in your mouth so much.

  • I love how, both Jack white and Edge guitarists from past and present show so much respect and happiness to see a legend of their time play a riff that rocked the masses. pure joy, their expressions show true happiness and respect for Jimmy Page and what it means to be a passionate guitarist.

  • A cara do jack é: Esse é o cara! Esse riff é do caralho!

  • DAMN FUCKING RIGHT ! YOU BETTER LOOK AT HIM WITH AWE ! WHEN YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO STRAP ON YOUR OWN GUITAR BECAUSE THERE'S SOMEONE THERE TO DO IT FOR YOU THEN MAYBE YOU REACHED THE LEVEL OF MR. PAGE. AND I DO MEAN MAYBE!

  • @cottonfever1221 SORRY BOUT THAT..But I think of all these little one trick pony players out now that have their own sig guitar's I get all jacked up,do you see how mesmerized Edge and Jack are ? that alone says it ALL !

  • @cottonfever1221 Every famous musician has a guitar tech. Jimmy has a guitar tech. You think he fixes all his guitars up by himself? No. He has people do it for him so he can focus on the important part: playing the actual guitar.

Also, those "one trick-ponies" will supersede anything you do in your lifetime.

  • @spicyMcHAGGIS9green REALLY? Do you know me ? If you did you WOULD know I hold more than one National level benchpress records, there's less people in the world who can bench 600lbs than there are who can play guitar great,so do your homework BEFORE flaming someone and sorry I did'nt realize YOU were one of the one trick ponies I mentioned. I did'nt attack you personally so mind your manners you little pencil necked fuck,I said NOTHING to you,go practice or do something worthwhile FUCKFACE!

  • @cottonfever1221 Lol. Internet tough guys. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Edge y Jack White por lo menos tenían que haberse postrado a sus pies!

  • @moreneta creo que se humillaron lo suficiente con sus expresiones faciales....

  • its looks like Beethoven playing a les paul

  • That riff is a fuckin orgasm....

  • if i was jack or edge....shit me in myself!!! O.O

  • It's like little kids watchin porn for the first time.

  • @StripesElephant ------ Hahahah.... omg you made me crack up with that.... so true too

  • @StripesElephant

    ohh! you are soo rigth!

    epic riff!

  • After all these years he still struggles to play that riff! God Bless Father Page!

  • @SuperHotrod4 yes, but I think he finds he MUST play it....just....a ... bit.... different, each time. You hope you hear something new each time...I did here. Leslie West strikes me the same, playing old Mountain songs, he still seems to hear "new chords". The guitar remains an amazing instrument.

  • Comment removed

  • @ggiul1256 "I think Jack White is definitely a hero to a young generation of guitarists and an old generation of guitarists,"- Jimmy Page ....yeh.....

  • @mikey41rules Words of wisdom from a wise man. I love both Jack and Jimmy =]

  • @ggiul1256 - LMFAO...! :D

  • mr. page actually is better than any toy guitarist alive in this 2012...

  • I was 5 when i found my dads Zeppelin 2 & 4 albums in an old milk crate, i still have them, probly worth alot, but i ain't ever gettin rid of em. I owe Led Zeppelin for turning me into a rocker!

Fuck jack white, he's a prick!

  • @jakeTheMbonz fuck you cocksucker. he's not a prick and you don't even have a fucking reason to call him a prick.

  • it's like watching Beethoven playing guitar

  • This is a fantastic documentary for anyone who plays or appreciates great musicianship. It's great to get them all to open up about their songs, and they all have such respect for each other.

  • If I were jack white and the edge I would have knelt down to JIMMY FUCKING PAGE!!!!

  • Still Kick Ass.

  • Jack whites face.... Bliss...

    Priceless!!

  • Classic!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when Page plays, the voice of Plant begins in my head

  • Edge and Jack White - " we are not worthy"!

  • great guitarists are watching their hero and smiling like "oh...my..fucking..god... :D..."this makes me smile too!

  • You should always stand when the best plays the guitar! They were shitting bricks watching him do that!

  • Same smile on my face...

  • I was never a big "Edge" fan, but it so touched me to see the awe and respect--the childlike reverence--that he held toward Jimmy Page while he played that great riff.

Good and many years to you, Edge...

    Alan

  • Oh Saint Page

  • what's the edge doing there?

  • I'd give both my ball's to be there.

  • Alchemy at it's best. Pagey's on a whole nother level.

  • The greatest riff in all of Rock-n Roll. Pagey look's as though he's summing forces from within.

  • Big whoop, as if its something truly amazing...

  • Their faces say it all...these guys are legends in their own rights, but Jimmy Page is THE master.

  • Good for Jimmie!--many and good years to you, mate!

  • Too many people don't give Jack White and the Edge the credit they should, I mean give 'em at least some respect!

  • theyre faces are like little kids seeing their idol. i love this scene.

  • Thumps up for a zep-gig as an opener for the games 2012 !

  • @4everRory that would be amazing....actually amazing doesn't do that justice :)

  • Happy birthday, Jimmy !

I adore Rory Gallagher, Ritchie, Jimi, SRV, but you´re the better (probably the best) guitar player.

  • Page actually play one dud note whilst playing, anyone else hear it? Lol

  • @ms381: ok, no symphony, but what a overdriving sound and the most famous riff , influenced so many other.

  • its so cool to watch jack's and edge's faces when jimmy plays, just little kids who worship his music. this is dope!

  • 0:23 my face when I first heard Kashmir back in 7th grade. Happy birthday Jimmy!!!!!

  • THE BEST!!!!!!!!

  • Happy B-Day, Jimmy!

  • Behold, the Master is Playing.

  • lol Jack white puts his guitar down at 13 seconds and is proberbly thinking I should give up now.

  • @TheInstrumentalz4u Jimmy had won before Jack even started

  • I love their(The Edge's and White's face, reminds of being a kid again lol.

  • Yeah his the man!

  • you need cooley.., babe im no fooley ,

first thing what pops up my mind when i hear this riff

  • @bruncen :)

  • man beethoven can rock!

  • Jack White looks so gay and inferior staring at a God

  • @Sappyspartan you would have the exact same look on your face and i doubt your any better of a musician than jack white. so fuck off.

  • This is such an fucking awesome Sound from his Les Paul ........ Jimmy Page ..the one and Only !

  • jimmy page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • haha the edge just stood up..i thought he was gonna do something

  • The bad thing about this movie, is that it has the edge on it.

  • Jack White and The Edge watching the Master

  • Page or Beethoven?

  • Like kids in a candy store :D haha

  • Edge was like. Dude, teach me!!!

  • I love how jack's like

"fuck it, I should just put my guitar down"

  • Jimmy (Page) and David (Gilmour). If it weren't you, I would have never picked up a guitar, probably. Thank you guys.

  • @MaciekClockwise same here!

  • @MaciekClockwise Ahem my friend.

  • yeah there are more complicated songs and chords. But that's not what anyone cares about. What WE care about is a rockinmuthafuckin riff that's gonna kick down the doors of our reality. And whole lotta love does that.

  • fantastic....all it needed was bonzo to enter with his drums

  • the look on the egde and jack whites faces say it all. they know how special what theyre seeing is. they have to know.

  • @ChrisCardenDrums This.

The Edge (born 1961) may have gotten to actually see Zep, in his teens. Jack White however (born 1975) was only 5 when Zep call it a day. Still, the power of that eternal riff blows across generations... so great to see it reflected in their faces: the Edge smiling with decades of appreciation and respect, and Jack just sitting there like "OMFG I can't believe I'm sitting here watching JIMMY fucking PAGE". Awesomesauce, all around.

  • @leftystrat76 I was born in '97, and I would probably die if any of the 3 played right in front of me.

  • @Drummerkid74 I was 12 when John died, and just had not quite found Zeppelin yet. I spent years and years listening and wishing...and in 1994 I managed to sleep on the pavement for 15 hours and get 6th row tickets to Page and Plant. I really honestly hope you get to see Jimmy play...it was a religious experience to watch them stand together and play all the songs they did...Ramble On blew me away...Kashmir was unreal. I never thought I'd stand in the same building as them...religious

  • @JDL2112 Same thing man. Saw them 2x in 94/95 and slept out on the pavement for 98. Awesome experience!!!

  • @leftystrat76 I smiled too and I was born in 1980 but I was raised with led zeppelin's music those days here in mexico there was a little hard to get their records but I had several cassettes I used to listen to whole lotta love late at night in a walkman and the sound effects made me feel... well I can't describe that sensation, just try it, listen to that song alone in the darkness and you'll see what it makes you feel :-)

  • I can't even imagine watching Jimmy Page play this song right in front of me. It would be crazy to see the guy who came up with it playing it. He is certainly a guitar god. Wow.

  • Even multi millionaire so called super stars need a god to look upto

  • they just turned into little kids

  • i hope kids today listen to zeppelin.

  • @AhYaOk I wish my generation would too. Ive gotten some of my friends hooked on Zeppelin and ZZ Top but most other 13 year olds listen to that rap crap they call music.

  • @Jackwee182 lol you sound like my grandma.

  • @Djobohobo should i feel insulted? or complimented?

  • @AhYaOk

    We do.

  • @AhYaOk Many many do.

  • This scene is in my top 5 best scenes

  • The way Jack White lowered his guitar is like a swordsman laying down his sword for a master.

  • pause at 0:23

  • someone jiiiiizzed!!!

  • The look of respect just fucking says it all!!!!

  • Both Edge and Jack knew to just....shut up....not try to play along....and enjoy.

  • Jack's face is the face I have whenever my guitar teacher plays one of my favorite tunes, so just imagine what my face would be like if Mr. Page was playing for me.

  • Edge: "With a some more effects, this could sound really good."

  • What amps/pedals is he using. I'm trying to get this sound

  • @cubsfands29 Get a les paul, get an old marshall head, n slap a 1960 cab underneath, crank it, learn jimmys technique via this video, and you're all set. im not kidding either, or just take whatever you got, and run the guitar straight into the amp and turn it up to 8, but keep the gain down on 4, cleaner than you think it should be. and put all the other knobs on 5,

  • @Jed844 well i already have a les paul custom. thanks. i wasnt sure if he was using a hiwatt or marshall in this video.

  • I love Jacks face throughtout all this

  • Jack and Edge are like "how do I compete?"

  • The fact is that you just have to see the faces of Edge and Jack and you understand what Jimi page means

  • You know its something special when, award winning and great musicians like jack white and the edge that have played in front of thousands, still get chills and excited to see Jimi play! LEGEND!!

  • This doc would have been waaaaay better if they had replaced The Edge and Jack White with David Gilmour and Eric Clapton.

  • @VladFerdinand1 your missing the point. The whole thing about this movie was to see the guitar from 3 DIFFERENT generations. David and Eric are amazing musicans, but they are all from the same era. You would just have a bunch of guys talking about show from the 60's n 70's, and very little about music now.

  • @VladFerdinand1 Actually, it wouldn't. The whole point was to bring three generations of guitarists together. The look of awe on both the Edge and White's faces when he breaks into the riff is worth it. It was a look of respect, and I suspect a "This is why I got into the guitar" moment.

  • Jack White and The Edge should be on their knees...

  • @TheMarcus275 They are,my friend...they are...

  • I can't imagine that feeling of seeing that song being played 5 feet in front of your face by Jimmy Page himself. Who wouldn't smile.
