Wonderful playing. Want to come and see a translation of the poem that inspired Debussy to compose this extraordinary piece of music? Come and visit 'Clair de Lune' on my channel.
Wow ~ actually the best I have heard on Youtube (obviously that isn't a professional) you rush a bit on the chord at the end of the Tempo Rubato and a little after that as well. But it's so accurate and from memory as well,,wow (: How old are you?
Wow. And from memory!! And at my personal favourite tempo. In the words of Chuck Berry, 'notes? what notes? music comes from the heart.' Though you don't need me to say it, that was beautiful.
nice interpretation much feeling. Many mistakes, but u are a good performer you keep going, sign of good performance.Get those subtle mistakes worked out and you will be great!I know that piece so well it was the first I learned on the piano.Try to vary your volume the harmonics in this piece are unbelivable.Leave the listener wanting more by playing subtly. When people heard debussy play they said it was almost like the keys raised to his fingers.Your interpretation is refreshing and expressive.
can u get the ripple effect with the left hand? i am amazed at your accuracy but inbars 43 and 44 u would do better if you left hand was slightly sofer because it gives a gentler feel
It's just about playing it, it's about feeling it. In this piece, Debussy gives a lot of chances for the player to express. Note values, especially in bars 15 - 26 are important. Take a look again at you arpeggios in bars 25 + 26. Also dynamics throughout! But the good thing is that you can play it - it's a very difficult piece. Also I noticed your accuracy was quite good! Well done.
Way too many mistakes, lack of color in your playing and a rushed sense of understanding. Just not good

I like how there is just a few videos of amateurs playing Clair de Lune on youtube, makes it a rarity.
I'll post mine's up in 3 months when I'm finished, right now the arpeggios are a bitch.

Just because someone has critique, does not mean they think themselves as capable of doing better.
One can judge regardless of personal skill.

Wish I had a Steinway B - I'd recomend checking Richter's 1977 Salzburg recital of this piece.

do you have the sheet music at all?
Lanky948 4 years ago
Yes I do? I didn't choose to use it because putting that little music stand up impedes the sound, and doesn't let me hear well how loud I'm playing.
