We were looked down on by the officers including the WO,s that flew the Hueys. We still followed orders (no matter how bad they were) and got the job done. Never knew what Saigon looked like but saw photos of the officers clubs and the life style that they lived. I think that 95% of them never saw any combat!

@wilcarr1 Good duty to me is when we had a good hot beer in the middle of the week on a very rare slack day. We changed our clothes when they rotted off, which was about every 5 or 6 days. We were looked down on by the officers including the WO,s that flew the Hueys. We still followed orders (no matter how bad they were) and got the job done. Never knew what Saigon looked like but saw photos of the officers clubs and the life style that they lived. I think that 95% of them never saw any combat!
