BF3 is a FPS shooter game, I play ARMA as well as BF3, Batlefield has graphic realism, as in pixels, ARMA has the vehicle, weapon, person, map, gear, nation, physics, geographical setup and stragedy realism, I have to admit that COD and BF3 are fun, but they are what they exactly are, a GAME, NOT A SIMULATOR!!!

Ok people, when they say realistic, they don't mean graphics, they mean physics and movements. I've been in the military as infantry and you need to stop saying BF3 is best, because it's not. As to date, no one in my unit as well as me have found a extremely accurate military game, but there won't be because there's A LOT of factors that need to be taken in real life when you're under fire rather than just aim and shoot, of which no game can actually execute correctly.

@multibulss6666 Hey, Battlefield 3 is a great game, but when it comes to realism, graphics don't actually count for much. There are so many aspects to look at when you try to make a game realistic, and while BF3 is realistic, not nearly as much as ARMA II. And I own both.

Your ArmA experienced have been severely reduced due to the lack of mods. The vanilla game was made to be easier to play. If you'd enjoy games even more realistic, I suggest ACE mod or VBS2, a mil sim developed by BI Studios that offers more realism, but reduced graphics.

Well realistic doesnt neccesarily mean that the graphics must be great. Theres a whole lot more to that.. You guys say its boring but what do you expect in a war? Running around like Rambo with a machine gun owning everyone, dying and respawning again? Nope. I might agree that this could be the most realistic WAR GAME but definitely not the best fast paced FPS out there.

I have finished Operation: Flashpoint's campaign. In my opinion the BEST FPS campaign EVER in any format. That simple. The game was lights years ahead of anything I had seen.

But we're in 2011 now. Graphics and glitches are not everything but we expect them to be in a decent level. Sadly both ARMA and ARMA2 have remained behind the competition. You can't really play ARMA after a round in BW3 or CoD (btw BF3 is way better than shitty fucking CoD).

I play both, but after playing the bf3 beta it just felt too much like call of duty.

Watching trailer/gameplay footage of BF3, I believed it was the most realistic and most advanced war simulator created, but playing beta, I was disappointed (drop-shots). Although it was beta, I hope that Dice will improve the prone mechanism to delay the gun pull-out to make it impossible to drop-shot.

Although I won't be buying this, I'm very impressed how the tactical processes work; moving from the station to a strategic combat spot, to getting to the objective. This is real reviving, hahaa.

People always say it is, but the sound isn't just non-HD, it's like they put zero effort in. Same with animations and most stuff.

Battlefield nor CoD come close to the tactical gameplay of this shooter. So everyone saying that its not realistic is highly mistaken. It may not look pretty or have HD sound effect's but it is more realistic than any BF or CoD game. Note that the people playing are not cussing one another out saying they fail and should go lay in a ditch and die, and they certainly dont run around like a chicken with its head cut off because realisticaly, you would get your head blown off. Right?
