  • Its more about what it represents than anything else..

  • Nice song

  • I go check for moar .___.

  • All that on Amiga?! I 'm trying to learn Schism Tracker (Impulse Tracker free and ongoing reimplementation) but I've always felt I wanted Amiga. ^_^

  • Great work, very sentimental -from sense of music, AHX & Amiga power

  • sounds li k eu had some corrupt files in the mix, making a SHHHHHHH noise white noise! I used to use OctaMed back in a day! AKA Fairlight, and Crystal!

  • @Liquadia1 Do you mean Samples (as in OctaMed, Protracker) are corrupt? AHX uses the Paula's ability to create sounds, there are no samples involved, that is why the noise you a referring to may be the snare? AHX is closer to the C64's SID.

If that is not what you meant, i apologize. ;-) I heard no significant white noise.

  • This is precision trance from Amiga Equipment. I very like it. You have a talent.

  • its my one of favourite intro music !

Its name is "Electricity" please fix it.

  • @winhate the song is called electric city, but the demo was electricity, so technically it's the right title

  • 1 person is living in Amish city.

  • @KingamongmenIIV I think I should write it to you, not to BikeNutt1970. Run Deliplayer as Windows XP application.

  • this song is so awesome my pc wished it was a fucking amiga

  • epic song... no clue that the amiga could actually synth. music, (Thought it was all sample based)

controlling filters and everything , one of the best amiga tunes i've heard

  • @speewave ahx is damn cool, wait because jazzcat kam and me elektro preparing pack with non releases amiga greatest hits covers made in ahx :) stay tuned :)

  • @speewave Paula chip can do am/fm synth but it was poorly documented if at all. Almost 26 year old "maybe".

  • @speewave My favourite to synth sound on Amiga was a very early Program called SONIX from Aegis. Oscillator, Filters, heck you could even DRAW your Waveform :-)

That Prg was also my favourite to play life multikey on the Amiga Keyboard.

If you like, check out Madtracker. It's free, just google it. I was so far able to run it on all Windows Versions. Madtracker uses Samples AND Synth, very professional sounding, studio quality.

    Sonix: watch?v=J8JPSeoAXAM

  • @KingamongmenIIV Yeah, pretty sure that's what I had when I first installed it but "run as administrator" sorted it.

  • @BikeNutt1970 Tune compatibility of the application. Run Deliplayer as Windows XP application. It works very well. By the way, this song reminded my happy childhood. Thank you very much...

  • @salvadorturrican i've been using XMPlay by UN4SEEN Developments with the AHX\HVL plugins that are on the site [ provided from an external server] google it! it's had great compatability if not 100% spot on to the amiga (at least compared to this video)

  • @KingamongmenIIV I don't know about Win7 but I run it on Vista perfectly well. You do need to set it to "run as administrator" though.

  • If you're on mac CocoModX works pretty well but there's nothing quite close to running the file on the original amiga

  • Some twat missed the like button!

  • Wow this thing is just brimming with "it"

  • I would love a way to listen to this song in the download other then screen wiping the audio. the download is in an unusable format without original system

  • @theeota Use DeliPlayer mate!

  • <3 demoscene.

  • Awesome tune

  • Wow! i remember making a few tracks on this, i was like 10 or something. i think it must have sparked an interest cause i got pretty serious into composing music. i use FL Studio now.. well, used to until i got a career... sigh, i want to be a kid again lol. Really well done tho mate. =)

  • who composed this song?

  • rofl i wish u guys were my age! i used to write this in a program called Octamed which was 4 channels only. the files used were called IFF files, eventually octamed cameout with 8 channels. Music was entered using your notes on each line number far left in this case max being 63. Then using patterns you can jump to any part of the song you wish in the playlist. You can even tell a line number lets say line 60 to jump to pattern 2 beginning of song etc. Octamed was the shit.

  • Unbelievable!

  • wow 8 bit stuff nice!!!

  • EPIC!

  • fantastic

  • 2:05 onwards i like

  • I love!!!

  • That's what I call chip tune! Jazzcat rules! :) Great artwork!

  • damn i never fully understood the arp commands. i should have stuck to them.

  • Really nice! Love it!

  • Mine was upgraded to ONE WHOLE MEGABYTE! so stick that up ya power PC! LOL!

OOOH THAT SOUND! Gotta love trackers!

  • Pure awesomness! What is the name of the tracker program?

  • @czarnuchification Its called 'Thx Sound System'

  • @czarnuchification : Its called AHX - tracker-like software. Pozdro ;]

  • wow das Rockt.

  • GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH i want to start my amiga 500 NOOOOOOW

    BRB :D

  • You made this song? Very good

  • Мне нравится.

    [I like it]

  • Amazing. been looking for something like this for years!!!!! Is it as complicated as it looks?

  • MITICO AMIGA !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Are you doing this through emulation, or is this true Amiga power we're seeing and hearing?

  • HOLY SHIT....

    sound fucking great !!!

  • Moduł kładzie na cyce!

  • Memories indeed.! Check my vids?

  • Memories... Sigh...

  • love the 4ch.. takes me back ;)

  • Amiga has the best sound chip ever made. Only 4 channels but...... MAGIC CHANNELS.

I love this computer and when i die i wanna rest in peace with my amiga 500 next to me.

  • @hankillo1 Nope is not, dont forget atari and c64. its only sid like program, but hey im lovin it :)

  • It sounds awsome. The main loop sounds a lot like the theme to 'Time Lord' on the NES.

  • makes me wanna get my amiga from the basement but then again cant remember any of the commands and shit.. :/ would be fun to see

whats on the HD. Old swapper mail and such :)

  • Just do it :)

You´ll find everything you forgot on the web.

  • @knaagi its collecting dust under my tv :) was fun reading old letters and running protracker/dir.opus and such :)

  • wicked tunes man

  • Wykurwiste!

    Awesome stuff!

  • This tune gives me chills and and rounds a tear in my eye.Great track.

  • this is soooo cool !!!

  • fav, 5stars, and thanks for bringing memories back :)))

  • me too!

    amazing music :)

    great Job Jazzcat!

  • need the mp3 !

  • JUST BEAUTIFUL BRAVO !

  • how did they automate their fades and stuff on those trackers?

  • there's a volume and fx column in patterns.

You can see there are C#3 B-2 etc. these are notes, and right behind it 2-digit hex is volume 00-FF, and the right next to it is 3-digit hex cell which is used for effects like fade-in/out, delay, arpeggio etc. etc. that's how.. it really isn't that hard.

  • @joshgura manual input :)

  • Jazzcat rulez! Po prostu piękne!

  • This tune rocks! Thank you, Jazzcat!

  • Jazzcat potęga :) pięknie się tego słucha :)

  • that is very good

  • Wow that bought back some great memories! Its a shame that developers are scared to use music like this in modern games now days.

  • i found alot of the ambient music in mass effect to be cool and techno/electronic-ish, great game if you havent played, also great theme by the faunts at the end.

  • @swampyajc the reason is simple - for modern gamers there's no nostalgic value and they would consider such music low quality

  • @swampyajc Developers, developers, developers... *sigh*

  • 5 out of 5!!

    AWESOME! Thank you!

    Brought good memories! ^^

    anyway...

How can you play the *.lha files?

Or r they compressed? Or what?

How to play these great songs?

    :)

  • 5 out of 5

    AWESOME DUDE!

    We want more! :D

  • Shall I compose on an Amiga or a C64 ? I am a noob at this.

  • On the ZX Spectrum 128 of course ;)

  • legend...

  • from the ahx website: HX is a protracker-like music editor that was designed especially to create C64-like synthetic tunes. There is no support for sampled instruments as chip tunes are made to be as small in size as possible. So an average AHX tune has a length of about 200 bytes - 5 kbytes (unpacked). All waveforms of the C64 are supported: Triangle, Sawtooth, Square and White Noise. Also Hi-/Lo-Pass filtering effects are supported

  • NICE MUSIC! ♥ AMIGA ♥

  • AMIGA 4 EVER!

  • This may be the single greatest AHX tune produced up until now (IMPOV) by Jazzcat for the 64kB intro "Electricity".

    I so love it.

  • This is 8bit music. SID sounds are generated by amiga sound chip. The sound is really 3D for 4 tracks. Amiga sound possibilities are still great. You better listen this on hi-fi or good PC speakers to feel its quality.

  • Sorry to correct you, but the SID is the sound chip to be found in the C64/C128. The Amiga's sound chip is usually called Paula, but no worse than the SID. I really like this tune.

  • I didn't say that Amiga has SID inside. I said that Amiga sound chip (Paula as you mentioned) generates SID like sounds. This tune is great.

  • This is so addicting. I might end up remixing this.

  • And I did.

  • There's only one word for this: Awesome.

  • could you tell me if it's possible to sync a commodore with a roland drummachine (tr 606)

  • Yes it's possible. Buy a MSSIAH - a MIDIinterface for the commodore.

  • a 606 isn't midi, it only has DIN sync

  • Google - DIN sync Midi

  • i miss my AMIGA - MUSIC and DEMO- making Time, but iam happy if i see, hear and feel this great sound !!

  • Very Cool song!

  • I remember those old times!! cool sound

  • sounds amazing

  • thats amazing

  • Amazing! Simply perfect. 8D

  • dreamy!

  • I keep coming back to this video because it keeps taking me back to the early 90's MOD Scene :) Wish i could go back.

  • Likewise! :)

  • Hey i have seen you around before, i can remember liking some of your video's sometime ago, so i haven't subscribed to you channel i guess now is the time :)

BTW - I like in particular the part at 1:58 where the MOD changes pitch, but overall its a magnificent tune

  • very nice!

  • I really love 8 bits sound. awsome track!

  • Not sure its 8 Bit.Anyway this arent really Chiptunes because those are made using samples and the soundcard instead of using realtime synths from a chip like SID

  • It is 8 bit.

    AHX is like SID

  • wonderful track Q_Q W 8bitSoundZ W

  • Wow, this brings me back the memories =)

I started with Soundtracker as a kid like 15 years back (sounds like I'm talking about a drug.. well it really was addictive I can tell you that)!

Wonder if I could find it anywhere nowadays..

  • for render better videos add to URL this code &fmt=18 it's sound better and the video is defined ;)

  • fantastica...

  • or is it C64?

  • Awesome example of what an Amiga can do with 4 channels of sound. I bet this finished file size is tiny compared to mp3.

  • fucking brilliant!

  • Hey, Jazzcat's real name is Piotr Pacyna - he is Polish. We had probably best scene in Central Europe.

  • How did you manage to upload a stereo track to YouTube without monofication??

  • Seriously...Kicks ass! Super!

  • on dirait Octamed.C'est ça?

  • No, that's Abyss, the tracker for ahx files i believe... :P

  • Excellent! Love it!

  • masterpieceA!
