I'm pretty sure they're called REMAKES. I saw Yojimbo than A Fist Full of Dollars. Yojimbo is much better. I prefer the original over the remakes, if I knew Shane was original I would have rented that off iTunes instead of Pale Rider. I think you guys watch Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. A remake of that is coming out in 2014, let's hope it's not like magnificent 7 that only ran for an hour and a half.
Well then you should watch John Ford's movies, because Kurosawa admitted that he was deeply influenced by the American Westerns by Ford and other American Western's and gangster movies. So who influenced who? Basically the Japanese Samurai movies of the 1950s-1960s were influenced, or basically a retelling, of American Westerns and other movies of the 1920s-1950s. Then the Japanese Samurai movies of the 1950s-60s influenced westerns of the 1960s-70s. Etc....Etc....
@domdombear Because the composition, Best Endeavours, was written as a library piece by Alan Hawkshaw (who also wrote the Countdown and Grange Hill themes among others) for general usage, not as a specific commission for Channel 4 (not ITV, btw).
In my opinion the director made a big mistake by having the preacher shoot Stockburn on last time in the head. If you noticed he shot him in the exact same spots where his bullet wounds are, they should just have shown Stockburn die from those wounds which would let the audience know that it is impossible to survive those injuries, and that the Preacher is in fact a ghost.
this was a great moves but when referencing the first pale rider from the 60's it always shows this one lol its hard to fine the other version but i did like this one very much they should have named it pale rifer 2 maybe so as not to confuse the 2 movies
@Pantsmaster5000 How dare you insult this god like entity!? Clint Eastwood is more Prestigous than Lord Norris. May he have a greater funeral than John.F Kennedy and be forever honoured. Some say he once stood on the coast and fired a bullet out to sea; it whizzed round the world with such speed that it hit the bad guy sneaking up behind him...
And now on the ITV news........

Why is the trailer SO bad? I don't get it, did the film industry failed to know how to set an exciting and informative trailer back then?
What is the movie about, besides the obvious?
Maybe is golden, but the trailer fais to inspire me.
Probably watch it anyway, but just because it stars the man who taught C. Norris how to be a man.
