Not everyone wants to bear children, nor should they. As my 90-year-old mom (who marched for women's lives in DC) has said many times, "If men got pregnant, choice would not even be an issue." If the people who harrassed women who enter Planned Parenthood clinics really were "Pro Life" they would work to eradicate homelessness. But they don't. They are more interested in being judgemental.

(I am on my friends account) My mother was lucky enough to go to Washington for this march, I was only nine at the time and had to stay at our home in Texas. Even at nine I was indescribably proud of her and ever so envious of the brilliant women she had the honor to see speak.

My gosh I have not seen Ani DeFranco in years thanks for the memories. Wild , Women, Don't Sing the Blues . I can not remember this being broadcast by Main Stream Media when this March on Washington Happened .I am just amazed that it had such a turn out I am so proud of the younger generation taking up our placards for us.

American women are free to do whatever the hell they want most of the time. In Muslim countries FAMILIES (father, mother, brothers and sisters) kill off their so-called wild women in a ritual called "honor killings." This practice is rife in the Middle East. We do not commit such brutality in America. By the way, in Saudi Arabia, I saw a sign in an ice cream shop that read, "No women or dogs allowed." Muslims treat women like shit.

Um, honor killings, maybe? Not being able to drive or own property? Having to conceal yourself completely when you go out? That's a whole nother ballgame. Like Ani says, "Look around, we have THIS." We can thank the deity for the freedom and the rights that we have here, and we can support women in other countries who want the same rights.
