im a big fan of the samurai showdown games...in fact ive played all SS from SNES to Xbox... there is 1 thing i always noticed every time they make a new SS, i feel like im playing a different game...and for me that sucks! its like they trying to make the game more complicated...why dont they just make the old school concept that we all really love, bring back the old moves and just add 3D and new moves...
Not everything is better in 3D. Samurai Showdown looks way better in 2D.
There are no good moves and the same movements happen again and again.
This is a boring game. Some games are meant to be left alone in 2D. This is just an example of the producers trying to make more money on a well establish franchise. Same goes for Street Fighter. Sorry
yes it looks very generic...where's the blood, the almighty 14 hit combo from (ss 4 amkusa's revenge XD) there's no hits.... or maybe the 360's version is going to be better, who knows...but really this thing has no samurai spirits within...
A lot of people complained about SFIV having no real difference between in and Super Street Fighter Turbo 2 except for looks, but the smartest thing capcom did was make it familiar, because if you dont you get what we are seeing in this video a completely different game, and thats not good with an old franchise. The pacing in this game is all different, I havent seen a special move as of yet, and the graphics are not very good. When you have a game with history the worst thing to do is forget it
Yawn... so do these people know how to play it or the characters have no moves anymore? What made the Samurai Shodown games cool was the unique "look" of their attacks, blue boy there threw an apple and multi slashed the heck outta enemies then started coughing cuz he's ill - Nakaruru's bird is hardly shown at all... you lose the whole concept of who these characters are.
I hear ya xombi87 ! It's like the makers of this game are embarrassed by the use of special moves, so they make them super small and really fast so you can hardly see them. If you didn't know better, you would think Ukyo is just randomly cleaning out his pockets in the middle of the fight. Where the F is the flaming bird slash, or the Ukyo shadow slide cut. This match looked like the players agreed not to use anything other than juggles and basic attacks. Boo!
I agree. Now it looks like another generic 3D fighting game because what gave character to the characters is gone. Also, what a boring demo of the gameplay.

the characters don't even seen like they have personalities anymore, which was a unique and beautiful thing about the earlier versions.
